Having heard mixed reviews about this place I decided to stop in and check them out for myself.
I would like to note that when I arrived at 6:30 in the evening on a Tuesday there was only one other Patron in the establishment sitting at the bar.
I will also note that the ugly green Walls that are shown in the photos here on Google have been painted to a much more neutral Gray. So it is a little bit better than it appears in photos now.
The employees were pretty friendly and I have no complaints to make about them but that's where the good ends.
From the appetizers I ordered pretzel bites. These came out on plate of wilted and brown lettuce. And they came with ice cold dipping cheese. The pretzel bites appeared to just be over burnt croissants cut up with salt on them. They were not pretzels at all.
My girlfriend ordered the gnocchi chicken alfredo. The gnocchi was very undercooked and there was not very much chicken included. She did say that the Alfredo sauce was not bad flavor-wise but it was very runny and hard to eat with the fork (no spoon was given) She ate what little bit of chicken there was on the dish and could not stomach to eat the uncooked gnocchi.
I ordered a salmon platter On Top of Spaghetti. The salmon was terribly dry. Does spaghetti cane with a very sour tasting sauce that I don't recall the name of. In the salmon was so dry that I broke it into pieces and mixed it with the spaghetti and you couldn't taste the sauce after the salmon soaked it up. The steamed broccoli that also came with my dish appeared as though it had been steamed for 3 days because it was as brown as the wilted lettuce that came with the pretzel bites.
Our total price for the two of us was $45 and the food was some of the worst I have ever experienced at a restaurant.
The Fazoli's fast food Italian chain has better pasta. I guess we now know why there was only one other Patron in the...

We stopped by Thiago’s in New Lexington not expecting much — and honestly, that’s about what we got. There were a few highlights, but overall it just didn’t quite come together.
We started with the Italian wedding soup. The broth had nice flavor, but there wasn’t much else going on — hardly any noodles or meatballs. Then we split the Italian sub, which tasted good once we fixed it up… but it came out looking pretty plain. No veggies, no toppings. We had to ask, and while the staff kindly brought out lettuce, banana peppers, and tomatoes, it felt like something that should’ve been included by default.
The entrees were the real letdown. The “ribeye” dinner was probably the best of the bunch, but it definitely wasn’t a ribeye — more like a sirloin or strip. The grilled veggies on the side were good. I ordered the pasta al forno thinking it would be like baked ziti, but it was more like pasta with canned tomato soup — not much cheese and barely any meat. My husband’s steak and pasta combo didn’t fare much better — he had to load it up with salt and pepper to get through it.
Service was just okay. Not rude, but not especially warm or attentive either.
The atmosphere was decent. There’s a pool table in the dining area, which was a fun touch, and the outdoor patio looked like it would be a good time on a nice evening.
Dessert was the highlight. The cannoli was excellent — crisp shell, creamy filling — and the tiramisu was rich and flavorful. Definitely the best part of the meal.
In the end, Thiago’s didn’t really hit the mark for us. Nice enough vibe and good desserts, but the food and service just didn’t come together. Might be worth stopping in for a drink and dessert on the patio — but for dinner, we’d probably try somewhere...

We did get a new waitress that was obviously green. However, she was very attentive and eventually got us what we needed. Good for her for trying so hard. Keep it up you'll get there.
Also, the fly situation was much better. Still, they need to continue to work on that.
The wife loved the garlic mashed potatoes and veggies.
All in all, it's pretty good. Give it a try.
Mixed Experience at Thiagos
I recently dined at Thiagos, and while the service was commendable, my overall experience fell short of expectations. The staff was attentive and courteous, demonstrating a genuine effort to provide a positive dining experience. However, I must admit that the food didn't meet the mark. The dishes were not cooked correctly and lacked the expected flavors that Italian cuisine is known for. Additionally, the presence of flies was a noticeable inconvenience. It's clear that both the owners and the staff are putting in a lot of effort, but unfortunately, the restaurant's offerings and ambiance are not yet at the desired level. I hope that with time, Thiagos can refine its culinary offerings and address these issues to truly shine as an Italian dining...
