On New Year’s Day at 6pm, I brought my family to eat that all day all you can eat ribs. The girl behind the counter said it be about a 10 minute wait and asked if that would be OK. I said yes that would be fine. A man standing behind the counter beside her smarted off as he was walking away and said yeah this is the only place open to eat besides Chili’s in Leesville. I ask what did you say. He walked away and the girl never answered either. It didn’t take quite 10 minutes and she seated us. We gave our drink orders and that took quite a while. They looked like they may have been understaffed. My family was going to order the all you can eat ribs and she said wait, I have to make sure they’re available. She comes back and said they’re not available. There was not one person we could see eating a rib. So apparently it was a gimmick to get people in the door or they ran out way too early. We had passed by earlier in the day there was four cars outside during lunch. We had to order other things on the menu and one of my sons ordered all you can eat wings for $20. The girl said there was no sides that came with it only wings so he ordered them anyway. It took way too long to get eight wings out. Every time he would order more it would take a long time for some more to come out. We were there for over an hour and a half. My other son got a sandwich and my wife got a salad with an upcharge for white meat. I got the chicken plate with two sides. That cost me $80 with the tip to get out of there with just a little small amount of food that really didn’t taste that good. I will not go back. Too many BBQ places in DeRidder with better taste and price. We constantly had dry drinks. One time the waitress picked up my sons glass and never brought it back. At one time she actually seemed like she was mad when we asked for refills. Maybe she just had a bad day I didn’t hold back on the tip maybe she’ll have a better day. MAIN ISSUES When you advertise you have all you can eat ribs all day, you need to have them. It’s not like we came in at closing time. Don’t make smart comments and act like you’re the only gig in town. Don’t up charge and try to get over on your customers on ever way you possibly can. Hire enough staff to keep the drinks full and the customer serviced. The only food we had to wait on was the wings. Should take 15 minutes for...

It was obvious that this place has definitely made their portions smaller, especially their sides (at least half the size of what they used to be). Also, when ordering, I asked for a basket and the waitress asked what sideS- so I assumed 2. Apparently 2 sides is a plate, not a basket so I was charged more than I expected. The taste of the food was good- a little salty. I just felt like I was paying more for less than I used to. Ordered shrimp (10) with mac & cheese (dipping sauce cup size) and poppers (1 pepper) for $20! My friend got the salad bar (supposed to be $7.99) and was charged $13.
Improvements: faster service
Issues: waitress not informative, portion sizes smaller, too expensive
Summer 2021: Comfortable bbq restaurant. Only go if you have awhile to wait because service is a bit slow.
Location: Easy to get to and notice from the road. You may find yourself having to turn around due to available road median areas. Parking isn't a problem.
Atmosphere: Overall comfortable. Plenty of tables and booths. Spaced out well. I dont feel close to others. The booths are spacious to fit 4 adults comfortably. They also have a party room.
Service: Needs work. A little uninterested and preoccupied. Brought us the wrong food. EXTREMELY slow. Between drinks and taking our order was 15 minutes. Between sitting down and appetizer (fried pickles) was 30 minutes. Between ordering and getting meal (for 2 people) was 35 minutes.
Food: Decent variety. Nachos (fries not chips), burgers, sandwiches, shrimp, salads, ribs, etc. Sides: mac and cheese, fries, coleslaw, collard greens, potato salad, corn, etc. We have gotten their shrimp (decent), mac and cheese (good), fries (typical), potato salad (good-cold), chicken sandwich (felt like it was missing seasoning), jalapeno poppers, and ribs (pretty small). We have also tried their fried pickles and green tomatoes (good). They do a buffet sometimes, but we have never tried it.
Price: $10+ depending on what you get. I feel comfortable with the prices. You can choose 1 or 2 sides with your meal.
Pros: Comfortable, ok prices, easy location.
Cons: Food quality (sometimes), service.
We won't...
Read moreWe love BUbba Q’s for their poppers. Eat them ALL the time however tonight’s experience was absolutely horrible. From the moment we were seated we waited almost 10 minutes for our server to take our drink order. Never got her name but she did say she was acting as the floor manager because the actual manager was working catering. This happened this evening-May 12, 2018. My husband and I celebrating Mother’s Day. We ordered poppers, cheese sticks and 2 teas. Almost 12 minutes later a lady served our appetizers and we still had no drinks. A gentleman brought them when we asked for them.
The poppers were burnt. The manager went to the kitchen and they told her that’s how they are cooked. No, it’s not. Again we order them at this location ALL the time. She said she would ask them to not cook so long but again stated the kitchen staff said they would come out the same again. Twice she came back to our table and still hadn’t taken our order. By this time we are beyond aggravated and said we’re leaving. She went through this entire list of things she was having to do like any of that was our problem. We were there to eat. They still charged us 11.90 for the drinks we hadn’t even drank and the freaking cheese sticks. Left a message for the owner to call us. We’ll see if...
