A Hidden Gem with Big Flavors and Friendly Service!
Our group of three hungry folks recently visited the Snack Shop at 395 N Main St in New Madison, OH, and we couldnât have been more impressed! This cozy little spot definitely exceeded our expectations, and I couldnât resist sharing our experience.
Atmosphere: The Snack Shop has a warm, inviting, and down-to-earth vibe that makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in. Itâs a classic small-town diner atmosphere with just the right touch of nostalgia. The dining room was clean, well-organized, and comfortable, with plenty of seating.
Food: We ordered a feast, and let me tell you, every bite was worth it! We started with a box of fries, which came out hot and crispy, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely addictive. They clearly take pride in making their fries just right â not too greasy and with that satisfying crunch.
The highlight of our meal had to be the double bacon cheeseburgers. These were loaded with juicy, flavorful beef patties and topped with crispy bacon, melty cheese, and all the fixings. The buns were soft and fresh, holding everything together without getting soggy. You could tell they put care into making these burgers, and it shows.
We also tried their pizza, and it was fantastic! The crust had a great balance between chewy and crispy, the sauce was flavorful and tangy, and the cheese was perfectly melted with just the right amount of toppings.
To wash it all down, we had a mix of Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, and a Blue Slushie. The slushie was especially a hit â refreshing, vibrant, and a great contrast to the hearty food.
Service: The staff at the Snack Shop were genuinely friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They made sure we had everything we needed and checked in to see how we were enjoying our meal. Itâs clear they value their customers and take pride in making everyone feel welcome.
Value: For the amount of food we got, the prices were very reasonable. Itâs refreshing to find a spot that serves generous portions without breaking the bank. You definitely get your moneyâs worth here!
Overall: If youâre ever in or around New Madison and find yourself craving good food with great service, make sure to stop by the Snack Shop. Whether youâre in the mood for a juicy burger, crispy fries, or a refreshing slushie, theyâve got you covered. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit!

Read moreStyrofoam blended into milkshakes! Outrageously rude! I won't return and suggest you do the same! I sometimes like to stop and get myself a nice little milkshake treat after a hard day's work and often bring my family for the same. I will NEVER patronize this place again after the horrible and rude way I was treated today. When I was given my milkshake I noticed that the inside of the cup had been blended almost through. I returned to the window, not wanting to drink a styrofoam milkshake, explained my issue and asked for my money to be returned. The girl working the window was concerned and very nice. Then an older man and woman rushed to the window and began berating me about how I didn't know what I was talking about, its how the cup is, it's the pb on the sides, on and on refusing to listen. I asked why they were being so rude to me and explained that I did in fact want a milkshake and hadn't stopped by just to order a milkshake then complain and get my money back for a laugh before heading home. Do people do that? Just take time out of their day to wait in line, order something, pay with their hard earned money, and then complain to get their money back? Where exactly does the customer come out ahead in this scenario? I can only assume that some people are so arrogantly proud that they believe they are never wrong and are insulted when someone suggests, politely, that it is possible that they are. Nothing will ever improve when people think they are already perfect. Why not say "hey maybe this guy is on to something and this is an opportunity for me to improve the quality of my business" instead of "this jerk is just here to to give us a hard time. Let's insult him personally?" I'm sad that I have lost this little treat for myself and my family. I will never return and I suggest you...
Read moreI went here recently with my mother and 5 year old daughter. We'd never been here, so we took a while to decide what we wanted. They were patient with us but never offered any assistance. They were too busy chatting with one another. We ordered our ice cream. I got a vanilla soft serve on a waffle cone. The cone tasted stale, but the ice cream was piled on. My daughter got a bowl of the superman ice cream and loved it. My mother got a cookie dough wizard (I think that's what they call them there) she said it was just vanilla soft serve with a pile of cookie dough pieces piled on top. Usually these are mixed up, but there was not even an attempt at that. We sat inside and ate. We could hear every inappropriate word the staff said. We left after my 5 year old asked me what a wh*re was. We will most...
