Stalder Family Creamery — Restaurant in New Martinsville

We were visiting New Martinsville for a wedding and this place came highly recommended by the bride and groom. Luckily, we had a few hours to kill before the wedding, so we stopped in, and, WOW, what a treat! This place had THE MOST AMAZING ice cream we've ever tasted in our entire lives! The girls at the counter were so sweet, welcoming, and patient with us as we decided on the flavors we wanted. They kindly gave us as many samples as we wanted before making a choice, which made my father-in-law's day, and each flavor blew us away by how delicious it was. The best part, though, was that the texture of the ice cream was absolute perfection! It's probably a good thing we live almost four hours away because otherwise I'd be eating so much ice cream that I'd have to be rolled out the front door! Ha ha! Hmm... The Ice Cream is made from the dairy product of the Stalder Family Homestead Dairy Farm across the river in Ohio! The Ice cream must be good because 61 people/customers came & went in the span of 35 minutes, while we enjoyed ice cream nirvana. (yes I counted) The ON SITE made ice cream is absolutely stupendous! It is made with ALL FRESH ingredients prepared by hand on site! We also had the Chili Dogs. The dog sauce was unique & perfect, yet they will not sell it for take home use. All in all a wonderful place for an off state route 2 excursion. We love the Stalder Family Creamery! My wife and I like to stop every time we are back in New Martinsville visiting family. We typically just stop for a couple scoops of ice cream but this time, we had a cup of coffee and enjoyed one of their panini's. I work remotely, and needed to get some work done, so they let me sit down and stay for awhile to enjoy the shop, watch Main Street traffic, and get some work done. Our visit was over the Easter holiday, so I ordered a snicker's ice cream cake as my gift to the family. Let's just say that the whole family loved it, as it was quickly devoured.
