Had not heard of this place until they made one in Albuquerque. Went to go see the ice caves and thought it would be nice to stop for a burger. Order the 1/3 wimp Laguna Burger it was delicious and just right just the right amount of food. They're fresh cut fries delicious and milkshakes wonderful. I'm glad I went to the original place and glad that I heard the name Laguna burger and got a chance to try it. By the way ice caves were pretty awesome nice little hike. Hope you get a chance to enjoy one of these nice green chili cheeseburgers.

Nice Route 66 themed spot off the I-40 with diner style classics. My husband got the Laguna Green Chile Burger with fries and I got the Frito Pie hot dog with onion rings. The hot dog is split and grilled, served on a fluffy brioche-style bun and piled with red chili, red onions, Fritos, cheese, and all the fixins. Soooooo good! My husband raved about his burger, which was the 2016 Green Chile Burger winner! Store has lots of great roadside snacks, drinks, and souvenirs.

Nestled in a gas station along I40/Route 66 just west of Albuquerque you will fine this gem of a roadside diner serving some of the best Green Chile Cheese Burgers in New Mexico. A full 1/2 pound of fresh ground beef topped with cheese and fresh Hatch Green Chile… add lettuce, tomato, and a pickle and you have a perfect Green Chile Cheese Burger New Mexican style! When traveling to the Albuquerque area or just passing through, Laguna Burger is a must try!!!

The burger? Average to slightly above average. The fries? Weird and below average. The customer service? Horrendous. The one time I've had a Laguna Burger previously, I was driving home from Arizona and I stopped by to grab a burger on the go. Didn't really get to enjoy it as much while driving and when I got home it was kind of cold, as expected. Passing by again this time, I had the time to stop in and have a sit down meal. There was only one customer in the restaurant and three employees so I thought this was an opportune time to walk into the restaurant. As I approached the counter one employee quickly turned to give her attention to the three burgers on the grill which looks like they were already done, the second employee turned and walked away and the remaining employee look at me nervously and said someone will be with me shortly. This same employee walked a few steps, liked nervously around came back and said that she could help me now? After giving my order I went to sit down in the empty restaurant when a fourth employee showed up with a floor cleaner and started scrubbing the floor in the exact area I was sitting in. He approached me and said he was going to need to clean the area I was sitting in so can I please move. Not in a hurry and not wanting to cause a scene, I moved to the opposite area of the restaurant to accommodate him. After a few minutes I realized I had not received my cup for my drink so I approached the counter to ask for a cup and saw that they had not started making my burger yet. They had finished cooking the burgers that I had seen on the grill and it was sitting there empty while the employees were chatting. They saw me looking at them so they put my burger on the grill. It took them 10 minutes to cook the burger and give me my meal. After all this I sat down to eat my meal and after a few minutes the employee who was cleaning the floors came to my area and started running the machine right next to me while the rest of the restaurant was still empty and needing to be cleaned. So all in all if you desire unprofessionalism and marginally adequate food then I would recommend eating here. If not, vote with your wallet and wait till you get anywhere else to...

Saw a billboard on our drive from Detroit to Phoenix, wife was hungry, and you can only eat so much McDonald's. We pulled in and realized it was part of a gas station. Going in, cheerfully greeted by a woman and two men behind the counter. Took a minute to realize breakfast time had passed so I ordered from the general menu, and to go (although there's lots of seating inside and outside). Got her a laguna burger, and she liked it a lot - - much more than she expected to, and she even liked the green chilis on them, even though she found it to be spicy. For myself I got a grilled cheese sandwich on Texas toast (grilled perfectly with a solid crunch, without a hint of burnt, and plenty of cheese by not a gooey mess). I also got a hot dog without onions, which came with ketchup, mustard, and relish, on a piece of Texas toast that was grilled into hotdog bun shape and it offered a slight sweetness to it. Everything was delicious and I tolerated the 15 minute wait. While waiting, I talked a bit to the guy who was running the fryer and complimented them highly when I realized that even though they appear to be busy all day, all the equipment is extremely clean, no grease...

Passing through from way out of town, saw rave reviews decided to stop in I know it was a bit before closing but they asked me if it was to eat in or to go. Can't really enjoy a burger while driving so obviously said "for here" because they asked. Before we recieve or full order they let us know its being packed to go because they are closing in 5 minutes (it was 9:51) This upset us because they asked if we were dining in. We were basically asked to get out. Which in my opinion was rude as an owner not to allow customers to enjoy the food they ordered while sitting at a table. They could have easily cleaned up around us which they were already practically doing. As other customers who received their order five minutes before us sat their and ate their dine in order. So we asked for our money back. Had to wait for someone not working there to show up (about 10 minutes) to give us the money back. No apology, not asking for explanation of why we wanted the money, she just showed up without a word and gave the cash back. We were actually really excited about our burgers. Been on the road since 11 am. So very...
