Recently learned about YakaMein - so had to give it a try! It’s a must try!

Visited Cajun Joe’s Seafood for a late lunch. Ordered the YakaMein and the Shrimp Platter. Both were plentiful, affordable and enjoyable.

Local lore has the YakaMein also known as ‘Old Sober’. Depending on your night before - this may just be the cure.

The place is busy and I can understand why. Nothing more comforting during these times, then good old comfort food.

If you find yourself in the area, better yet, make a point of visiting and enjoy this place.

You’ll also be able to order a tasty adult beverage to enjoy with your meal. Service was...

I've actually frequented this place since my return in 2009 and since then I've been served up fresh. It's really a hidden gem. Everything is made to order. Have some patience for the freshness. I shouldn't cheat but I cheat with the pig feet I'm slobbering as I type this. Don't worry about the drinkers under the tree I call them the lot watchers 🤣😂😂 just don't be Bougie be about FRESH. I'm hella picky, so I wouldn't send u out there wasting your money.....Get you a large combo rice start off slow, but just know it's worth the wait. Sometimes I'll order and eat it the next day because I know...

Great family owned business. The business is located in an old African American Neighborhood where Fats Domino was born. The take out food is excellent and tasty. The seafood po-boys and plates are big. I can only eat half of the po-boys. However, a special delight are the chicken wings. Garlic, Barbecue, Hot and regular are the flavors. The prices are very fair and lower than other restaurants. Good People, Excellent Food, Low prices. I highly recommend...

I ordered the two fish nine shrimp platter and must say it was more food than expected. Very filling and delicious. Bring an appetite, you'll need it, and the continuous flow of customers will show it's a popular location. The owner even just expanded the parking a little too accommodate the amount of traffic the comes in. I'll definitely be remembering this place for future travels to the area.
