Visiting the area looking for "non-chain" hot wing joints. Fortunately came upon Rumors. Seemed to be the closest to a "dive" for the area. Had 2 orders of wings: flavor 1 Boss sauce, which was hot sauce and ranch, heavier on the ranch than hot, but still good. Flavor 2, hot old bay. While nothing unique with the flavors, they were very good. The wings were cooked perfectly, crispy, juicy and hot to the bone. Plenty of sauce to coat the wings and dredge the fries in. Also had hamburgers, which were cooked properly to how we ordered them. Would definitely visit again if we come back to the area. Edit: I used the word "dive" and feel I should elaborate that this was a nice and clean place. It wasn't a chain restaurant and often times,it's these kinds of places that are the best. I hope that I get to visit again as the wings were really great.

We had a very nice dinner experience for our first time at Rumor’s Tavern. The food was very good. The fish sandwich was huge. Also enjoyed the wings (many flavor varieties). Enjoyed a local draft beer from Ellwood City. The service was very friendly and good. The atmosphere is typical bar establishment. The music was very loud so it made talking a bit difficult but this is to be expected on a Friday evening. We thought we were getting our meal in before this would be an issue but no big deal. There is a 3% “pass through” charge. I assumed this was a fee for paying with a credit card but I actually never asked to be sure. We want to go back when the outdoor area is available and try some other wing flavors and such.

Traveled all the way from central Florida to visit for a wedding, and chose this little bar at random our last night in Pennsylvania. Best decision ever! We made so many great friends that night. The bartender Kelly made us feel so welcome right off the bat by offering us pizza she just ordered for the whole bar. What bartender does that? Only the best! 😊 HEY KELLY AND JEFF! 👋 Make sure you stop in Rumors and say hey to Kelly and leave her a big tip!

It's sad that after many visits and great experiences at this place, after last night, I won't ever go back. And the only difference from last night was that the owners wife was present unlike any other times my friends and I have been there. She kept giving my friends and I dirty looks all night. In fact when I was in the rest room she must have had to go because she banged on the door, I replied with "just a minute" and then she banged on the door again. When I came out of the bathroom, she was sitting in a chair outside the door and gave me the nastiest look which I walked past her and ignored it... Don't get me wrong, they do have great bartenders, the DJ was amazing, and everything was good and fun like it always has been but then a group came in and decided to be thieves and stole customers belongings off of the bar like cigarettes and they even had the audacity to steal someone's cell phone. We caught the one man red handed stealing and when we confronted him, he pulled the customers belongings out of his pocket and gave them back. Then the breaking point for me was when the one guy grazed my butt discretely under the bar and denied it when the bartender asked him about it. Well I lost it, I don't stand for that crap so I said something to him myself. I then tried to go outside and right when I got to the doors the owners wife stepped in front of me and wouldn't let me leave. Who does that? She was just a control freak who felt like she was some queen bee and kept looking at me with these snoody little faces and smirks. So when she wouldn't let me go outside, I said something to her, turned around, went to grab my friends and close my tab so we all could get out of there together and that's when she decided to have me removed but yet I was trying to leave anyways? She literally was eye balling me from across the bar and laughing. Real professional on her part. Either way the bartenders are great and the food is awesome but if you like a place where you have to worry about your belongings being stolen off the bar and where you're treated like crap by the owners wife, then this is the...
