Farmer's Daughter Rustic Bakery — Restaurant in New York Mills

Just stopped here at 12:15 to have lunch. Waited over 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Asked if we wanted breakfast or lunch. We said lunch. The young woman disappeared and another woman approached our table rather irritated. She confirmed that we wanted lunch and then sighed, telling us that would take much longer than breakfast and she would have to turn her equipment on. It was made very obvious to us that our effort to support a small local business in our travels was nothing but an inconvenience to these workers. Stopped on our way for breakfast on vacation. Delicious food! We got the breakfast burritos, a blueberry muffin, and some headlight doughnuts. Everything was superb. We stopped on a Thursday and we were definitely the young people from out of town. The clientele was 80-100 year old locals. Other than some incredibly inappropriate racist conversation at the table of 90 year olds next to us, it was a great breakfast. That is the reason for a lower star rating. If I ever come through town again, I would definitely get some food, probably take it to-go if the same crowd is there for coffee. Service was...

Stoped in for breakfast and orderd the ribeye. Made it clear that i wanted my stake med, it was well done. I told the waitress. She blew me off. I waited and Waited for her to return. The restaurant was ran by teens with little or no communication skill. I approached the counter and had to again wait for the Owner. She refused to help and mocked me on my way out. I will never return to this business. I eat breakfast all over the lakes region and this is the worst restaurant out there. I recommend the lakes cafe in perham mn, or the truck stop in motley.
