The Bayhouse of Breezy Point — Restaurant in New York

Could I post less than 1 star?? Well I guess not but must say I’ve been to many restaurants in my life, globally and this is by far the worst!!!!Very nice sunset, which is best to say. It was 6:30 pm when we got in, the server said to seat where ever was available, and grab a waiter, we got a table and waited about 20 min for a waiter to show up and ask if we wanted any drinks and menu. Half an hour after placing our order, the waiter came and said that we had to move to a different table because other guests had reservations. the guests that got our table were kind enough to buy us drinks thumbs up and thank you!!! after one hour and half of waiting for our food and being seated in a different table, we decided that enough is enough and asked for the check of what was owed. We waisted 2 hours of our time at this restaurant and only had 2 beers including the ones that the other table offered us and appetizers. Very disappointed. This location is beautiful and perfect, BUT management needs a refreshing course in how to handle customer satisfaction....

I'm here now with a wedding party, we may not have gave them a heads up but these servers are weird, and un accommodating and not making us feel welcomed. I've never left a review of a business, I'm doing this to tell you not to come here.

So after I posted this, the groomsmen told me the bartenders are looking for me. It was because of this post, and the only nice waitress bartender earlier got aggressive in front of customers and asked to talk to me in the corner about my post. She didn't politely ask me to the corner but I said I'd speak to the owner who was very calm and reasonable. I wasn't In the right trying to sit when I was told I could but it was a misunderstanding and lack of communication. The owner is lovely and this post shouldn't make you not go here. Great for Locals. Not for out-of-towners. Made a reservation to see the sunset and it was not honored. We needed to wait another hour because like our party, eveyone else was there to see the sunset. Once we did sit down the wait staff was apologetic but was not at their best because it was the end of the night. We waited for menus, needed to remind them to bring silverware, had to clear the tables, tap beer and menu items (pasta) ran out at the end of the night. Manager was unapologetic about either not fulfilling the reservation or giving away our table. If you are going for the sunset get there early. Great view, ok food, ok service,...
