Reesers' Soft Ice Cream — Restaurant in Newberry Township

The ice cream is soft serve and it is kind of fluffy. It is almost like it is whipped in a way. I don't know what they do to it, how they make it, or how to explain it, but it is certainly awesome! We really like the variety of flavors that they offer throughout the summer. The soft serve ice cream flavors are unique. They usually offer the soft serve ice cream in peanut butter every other weekend and on the off weekends they offer it in flavors like blackberry, blueberry, coffee, peach, raspberry, and many more. It would be great if they were able to offer their famous peanut butter soft serve ice cream all the time as well as another flavor, but I suspect that would mean getting another machine. Regardless, it is worth the trip. We live quite far away and still make the time go...

Reesers is a long-time family favorite, and even though we live 25 minutes away, it's totally worth the drive to get there. The flavors are subtle, without tasting artificial. The Pumpkin and Peanut Butter are my two favorites, with Strawberry being a close 3rd.

The food, typical of most American "drive-in" establishments, is nothing special, but definitely well-prepared and let's face it, not the reason anyone comes here, so try it yourself and do your own review. ;)

The parking lot is huge, and the long to order is usually long, but it's definitely worth the wait. Staff is always friendly and fast.

The food here is excellent. I had a BLT and it had tons of bacon. I saw a kid with a grilled cheese and I wanted to take it from him, it looked so good! The ice cream creations are always yummy. Lots of choices. I rated this a 3 because of the yellow jacket nest in the awning over the seating area. No one could eat in peace for the bees swarming them. This is a real problem, especially since so many kids are there eating and playing on the grassy slope. I hope the owners take note of this review and have the nest removed before it is too big to handle. It will be order and take away for me until the...
