My spouse and I went here for a much needed date night and we were slightly disappointed. We always love to support local businesses when possible so we thought we would give Stone House Neighborhood Grill a try. The restaurant is clean and has a nice atmosphere. The bar area does get pretty loud as the evening progresses. This is really more of a sports bar than fine/family dining. My spouse ordered the brisket dinner with mac and cheese and I ordered the ribeye with green beans and mac and cheese. Our server was obviously busy and probably a new server. Both of our Mac and cheeses were luke warm and didn’t look like they were even cooked. (Look at other pics here of their dishes.). My spouses brisket looked like pulled beef thrown on a plate with some bbq sauce thrown on it. (Other images in reviews show nice slices of brisket presented well.). My steak was cooked perfectly and was pretty good until you got to the edges which had cartilage. We asked for cheesecake to go and waited 15 minutes after we had already paid our bill. Upon arriving home the cheese cakes were just a couple of small slivers with a chunk missing off the side of one of the slices. Sadly, we won’t be recommending this to our friends who all live locally and we won’t be returning. We spent almost $100 including tip and to be honest I wish we had gone somewhere else.

Was at a Softball tournament right next to here. Guy next to me ordered take out and was raving about it. Then another ate there between games. Also said it was good. We decided to give it a try. The cooks here must be well trained. Our group ordered everything from Salmon, prime rib, chicken, burgers, etc. All were excellent!! The fried mushrooms were very good. Loaded fries in their homemade ranch amazing. They had fried pickles looked great. I had the Cajun burger with Fried jalapeños it was awesome. Everything was great. This is a gem. Depending on what you order they can turn it around quickly. Our waitress was attentive and gave great suggestions. Great service is not the norm anymore. The service was outstanding. I wish you could do an app that includes fried mushrooms, pickles, and jalapeños. That would have been great. The chicken club was done on a Gluten free bun.

A local favorite for Newberry, also the nicest overall restaurant setting in town. Great bar area. They recently fully enclosed with windows the outdoor seating area that was already covered. Still plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas as well. Had the bone-in chop and it was excellent, juicy and perfectly cooked with a light spicy BBQ glaze. Sides were also great. The steamed broccoli was nicely salted and you can never go wrong with their Mac & Cheese. Also my wife had the seared ahi salad which had a nice presentation and was decently portioned. Beers on tap are a bit limited, but they came out fast and frosty. Service was excellent on a Sunday, right as they opened.

I give this place two and a half stars because they give it zero stars for consistency and good quality of ingredients and I give it five stars for their ambiance and the service. I've given them three chances cuz I've been there three times to make me happy and the last time I was there I ordered the lobster mac and cheese and I was supposed to get 6 oz of lobster meat in the macaroni and it wasn't even a fraction of that. One more soul of lobster may have been real and all of the other little bits in there I think we're fake frankly without doing a DNA test on the actual Meats I couldn't tell but there you go the flavor just wasn't there and neither was the texture of the lobster except for that one bite. My friend the first time we went there and delivered a cold steak. How do you cook a steak and then make it cold when you bring it out to the customer? He was very discouraged and he hasn't been back there with me anyway since I tried to go back to get a good fish dinner and I couldn't do that. The owner is building a new fancy Mexican restaurant in the same Plaza and I would suggest to him to quit working on that project and get his house in order in regard to his other restaurant or restaurants. Once he nails that down then he can open a new restaurant. NEW: I am issuing a crossthearea notice that there are so many really innovative and what I like to call gourmet grunge Recipes like the ones you see on the gourmet cooking shows and things don’t seem to change very often at many of our local restaurants so I am asking that chefs do specials quite often with really innovative or gourmet grunge items. I’m gonna have my own rating system from now on we’re at the beginning of every review I’m going to say whether I’m bored with this place and they’ll be three degrees of this. Bored, relatively excited, and exciting...

Oh Wow! Wow! Wow! I am in love! Shocked by how great this experience was. As I sat at the table eating this amazing food I knew something special was happening and I knew I had to share this with you. If you have not made it here before, do not miss out. This place is next level good, I am so surprised by this experience it was so far beyond what I expected. From the second you walk through the door you are greeted warmly and sincerely on a personal level and then it gets better from there. The service was top notch. I have been to 5 star restaurants that send an army of crew to the table to make you feel like they are attentive this place was able to top it with one amazing young lady that made us feel special and cared for as if we were the only ones there. I too pay attention and I could see she had a full section but she handled the situation masterfully. The entire time I kept thinking I have never wanted to tip more than the meal will cost but I did here! Oh and that's another thing the prices are so fair and reasonable I did not expect the meal to be so far above the expectation level but it sure was. The bread starter was genuinely special then our appetizer quality and generous quantity was a sight to behold but when we tasted it we just stopped and stared at each other, we thought we were being punked and some celebrity chef was in the kitchen. Our beverage glasses were never empty! The main dishes we ordered were magnificent. This is seriously one of the best dining experiences I have ever had on a Monday night! Wearing the most casual attire and feeling like a king. The folks running the show here are genius level and the staff should all be applauded for running an outstanding operation. I will return as soon as possible. I cannot recommend this restaurant more...

Stone house isn't bad, but if you don't live out here I wouldn't recommend driving in for it, as there is nothing on the menu that really stands out. Its a more casual middle of the road country steak house.

Steaks are okay - the grill seasoning is good, but you have to ask for extra to really taste it. They have not quite dialed in their french fries and they tend to be on the really thick side.

Ribs are pretty good, i think the one thing that does stand out for them is their bbq rum sauce with bacon. that was unique.

They do serve rolls at the table if dine in which is a nice touch, they use the "Good Ranch".

If you want a hand held the wraps are okay. Burgers are okay too.

Their online menu is messed up and I've told them at least 5 times they should fix it as one of the better burgers they have doesn't have the right options and has the wrong picture.

I have to give service low marks for the quality of their to-go service. Again, owner needs to look at website menu on togo and fix the options and make sure they line up with the food - Not cool to not be able to order something how you want it because of website issues.

Also service is poor on togo as if you order the to go ranch dressings they charge you quite a bit and you're supposed to get 4Ooz cup due to the cost, they consistently use the smaller 2oz cups and tend to rip you off, that is why I stopped tipping on the to go food, they really need to pay attention to this.

Overall I eat here semi-frequently and also tend to use them for family gatherings as they are the fanciest Newberry...
