Hi-16 Drive In Restaurant — Restaurant in Newcastle

Food was just ok, pretty bland. Service could use improvement and menu needs some clarification. I wanted to order breakfast for lunch, so I had ordered an orange juice when we ordered drinks. When the waitress come around for our orders, I was informed that they didn't do all day breakfast on the weekends. No big, just ordered a cheese burger and fries. Wait time for food was not bad at all, pretty quick and orders were accurate. But the waitress couldn't remember who had what, drink refills were not an item for concern, had waited several minutes, then had to ask for them to be refilled. Prices were reasonable for the area and it was clean. I will probably try it again because people have off days and everyone deserves a...

Terrible experience at hi 16. It was just myself and my 18 month old son. We were keeping busy while we waited for our food by organizing the sugar packets when they were pulled out of our hands by the waitress and all she said was "now I have to throw these away." When that happened, he became upset and crawled under the table. It took several minutes of trying to convince him to come back up while trying to keep him from screaming. So dear waitress if we can't touch anything that is already out on the tables, you might want to throw the salt shaker away because he touched that too!
