Beijing — Restaurant in Newnan

Today 03/02/24 around 5:15pm The Boyd’s placed an order My family first time ordering located the restaurant on google and took a blind eye chance! The Food was Phenomenal Perfect Timing Fully Prepared as I requested special orders to be added as a secondary to each order! The food were lightly seasoned and fried in a very light oil not greasy very fresh! The sautéed vegetables were steamed cooked well not mushy! Double order of everything!!! Fried Scallops Shrimp Fried Rice Crab Rangoon Sweet Sour Rib-let’s Spring Rolls Cheese Steak Roll Shrimp Rolls were delicious! The Rolls were prepared at its finest! Lemon Pepper Chicken wings were seasoned well fried to the taste Double order of Butterfly Large Shrimp and Small ones as well! along with the Shrimp fried rice as a side combo! “Excellence” one thing I ordered scallops and crab extra veggies to my Shrimp fried rice no “Mushrooms” there were Mushrooms I’m allergic to Mushrooms so I took the time out and place them from my plate to another side dish of Fried Rice! When ordering if you have a special Allergy request make sure the employee hear you correctly! It’s not her fault I have a very Gentle voice and there were a semi loud atmosphere in the back ground! Getting orders prepared and ready for pick up ect. The Employee repeated my order three times back to me I didn’t hear her say mushrooms after my request of no mushrooms she repeated again last min. Said mushrooms I quoted No No mushrooms I’m allergic to Mushrooms” overall the Shrimp fried Rice with Scallops Crab Broccoli sautéed vegetables were amazing I’m just here now need my allergy medicine now! And Still running back and forth with the Fried Scallops and The Free extra Crab Rangoon! I’m a new customer now me and my family! had very bad experience with other places but this restaurant here is 100% Satisfied customers you know you enjoy your food when you saying delicious with every bite then the other family member saying this is Awesome not greasy at all! I never knew this restaurant exists until google search on Shrimp Fried Rice near me! Popped up! It was on from there after viewing the reviews and the menu ect. So, I decided to give Beijing another go since I had such a good experience the first time I ordered! I was very disappointed!!😔 My daughter had the crab Rangoon which she said was pretty good!👍🏽 My husband had the lemon pepper wings (small wings) and shrimp fried rice. He ate a couple spoonfuls of the rice but ate all of the shrimp (they are always big and flavorful) If I’m able to take a pic, I will add it to show just how much is left! We ordered shrimp lo mein for the family. The noodles were extremely over cooked however the shrimp were good! I had the Pepper Steak with pork fried rice. The rice was just “Ok” At best. That was what I fell in love with the first time I ordered! The pepper steak was very chewy and I don’t know if slimy is the right word but I didn’t like the sauce because it appeared to be a tad bit slimy. The meat was extremely soft…I don’t know, it just wasn’t right. This place is a bit costly so I don’t know that I will go back and spend that type of money for a hit or miss experience! As much as it costs, it should ALWAYS be a hit!! Maybe there was a different cook on Christmas Day, I really don’t know but I’m not into throwing away money. This place was excellent!! This was my first time ordering and I’m new to Newnan but from up north. I haven’t been able to find any good Chinese food since I moved here to Newnan! Beijing is now my new spot! Very nice servings! I ordered off of Door Dash so it was a little costly (but worth it). I ordered the boneless rib tips, house fried rice, and Singapore mei fun..My only “complaint” is that I wish the Singapore noodles had a little more curry flavor and a few more shrimp although the shrimp were a nice size (I think I had two). If you’re like me and trying to find a decent Chinese place in Newnan, keep looking. I hate to leave a bad review but I really wanted this place to be good. My husband got general tso’s chicken, my son got dumplings, and I got chicken and mixed veggies The dumplings were decent and my son enjoyed them… now for me my husband’s food, super runny sauce🫠 I could maybeeee justify mine cause it had vegetables but for general tso’ s, it’s suppose to be a thick spicy sweet sauce. All the “sauce” was at the bottom, like soup. My food was like that too. My brown sauce was wayyy off. No hint of sweetness and straight tasted like frozen Chinese outta the bag at the grocery store.
