This was my first time here -- lots of parking and the inside has a decent amount of seating. When you enter you have to go down a small flight of stairs to get to the restaurant but they do have a stair lift if you can't do stairs. Décor is cool with a "construction" road sign vibe. Lots of TVs if you want to watch a game.
I heard great things about the wings from different people so I've been wanting to try it. My friend and I arrived around 5:30 on a Wednesday and were seated right away. They have different specials on different days--it was flatbread and cheap draft night when we were there. Our server came over after we had a few minutes to peruse the drink menu. I ordered a cider that was on draft and my friend got a mini fish bowl peach drink that she really liked. They have a very large list of sauces to choose from--(60 sauces and 13 dry rubs). I ordered 12 wings--6 with salt & vinegar dry rub and 6 dry with a couple different sauces on the side to try (Sriracha Basil, Sweet Thai Chili and Japanese Yum Yum). The sauces on the side will cost you a few extra bucks, but no biggie. The Sriracha Basil sauce was perfectly spicy with a great flavor and was easily my fave of the three. I'm a fan of the salt & vinegar dry rub but I've had this before at other restaurants and the taste is generally the same. I wish I would've gone outside my comfort zone and tried a dry rub such as porketta or taco ranch. Next time. I did take my other half some Sweet Bourbon and Vidalia Onion (my friend recommended these). He loved the Sweet Bourbon but said the Vidalia Onion lacked flavor. Obviously it just comes down to taste preferences.
Wings overall were good but I've definitely had better wings at other restaurants. Maybe people rate this place so great because of the variety of sauces? They definitely have some intriguing sauces such as "steak and potato," "pepperoni pizza," "smoky tomato bacon" "chocolate bacon" and a ton more which makes me want to visit again to try the different flavors. From what I've sampled, the sauces are great!
My side of garlic parm fries were really good! They also offer healthy eating choices--two kinds of salads and the option to order a turkey burger with or without the bun. They also offer a side of veggies in lieu of fries for only $1 extra. Prices are...
Read moregreat burgers & wings, solid drinks, BUT TERRIBLE SERVICE. Waited over an hour for our food, the waitress who I won’t name had a pocket ticket, didn’t apologize about it... some food was cold or noticeably sitting in the warmer window.. My sister dined here the same night and also waited over an hour for food. It’s understandable if food runs late, I work in the food business BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, give some notice. Be transparent. Our server would’ve gotten a 20%+ tip if she did her job & wasn’t so concerned about getting off of work to drink. She could’ve also not rushed us out the door by asking us every two minutes if we needed anything at the end of our meal. Like we get it, we’re one of your last tables BUT we’re a party of 11... you could’ve earned over $100 in tips from us alone if you did an excellent job. Sad that we will likely only do take out from this place or just order from the bar only. Seems like the patrons there had priority with their “Togo orders” versus patrons who actually dined in their establishment from the explanation we got from our server as to why our food was running late. I hope this reaches the two owners who actively work there, “an informed guest is a...
Read moreThe fact that you go DOWN stairs to even get to this place immediately adds to the cool factor. Once there your in the bar area..small but inviting.. too many beers to count.. if ya like a craft beer.. this is a destination. Through the bar into the dining room with ample seating and decent decor. Service is only 5 star because that all I'm allowed to give.. above and beyond friendly staff. To me.. that always makes a huge difference in my meal experience. All of this pales in comparison to the food. There's a reason this place gets best wings year after year.. they really are that good.. you could go there 80 times amd never have the same flavor.. there literally is 80 choices! The inventive egg roll creations keep on giving and you would be silly not to try one when you visit. 13 out of 15 . Took point for tables and chairs..if there's one thing I hate. It's banquet chairs.. when I'm not at a banquet. And minus 1 point for business hours..this place is way too good to be a 5 day a week joint. 6 days and add lunch.. but I'm...
