I have been motorcycling this area of the country for more than 30 years and I love to camp especially if it's motorcycle oriented, when my favorite campground closed two years ago Blue ridge motorcycle campground due to a flood then I have been exploring to find a new place for me and my buddies, for years I rode by this place thinking it's just a biker bar but upon reading from other motorcyclist posts then I thought I would give it a try. I love the area plenty of riding in all directions and the French broad river right beside us all good. The owners and their employees were all very nice and accommodating, the food was really great and the beer is cold along with the live music and other activities then it almost is perfect but I said almost, now for the bad. The tent camping area is located a pretty long way from the bathroom and showers so be prepared for a walk also be prepared for noise from highway 25 it's an all night thing, along with two trains a night on the railroad tracks running beside the river so be prepared for noise it's not a deal breaker because nothing can be done about those, now for the really bad it's the bathroom and shower house that killed an otherwise good experience, they have a stench that will stay with you for a long time and it was a deal killer for some of my group. I don't know if it was a lack of traps on the plumbing or if it was the water itself but it's a very strong rotten egg Sulphur type of smell that will make you physically sick. I hope that the owners read this and not be to upset for the constructive criticism in hopes that they can make improvements, they are so close to having a great place for motorcyclist to enjoy and spend their money. I can say that I will go back because of all the good but I may consider staying somewhere else and just visiting the bar area for food and entertainment either way don't be totally discouraged by my review it's definitely worth trying and the owners have definitely worked hard to make it a motorcycle...
Read moreSuch a cool place to visit right along the river bars outside they had karaoke. Thursday night wings were good french fries were cooked perfect and they do a concert summer series what a nice place to go to. This is an update to the Barbosa saloon. Some of y’all know I do live in Cock County Tennessee and Barbosa is located about 15-20 miles from my house to cool little biker/family bar. They had live music and you get to see all the different motorcycles come in everybody was so friendly, and they were devastated by the flooding of the recent storm that Helena did to this county Barbosa was pretty much wiped off the riverbank I mean completely wiped away. Our prayers are with Bob, his wife and his daughter when I talk to him about rebuilding he’s not sure if you look on their website it says temporary closed. This is really sad folks. I think this family could use some help. This is like the second or third time this has happened to him, but never like this his business, his livelihood his legacy and what he was gonna leave behind for his daughter and everybody else gone it’s a shame. It was a very cool establishment and I hope Bob rebuild I really do everybody needs to encourage this. This was a place to go and just have fun eat drink listen to live music and meet with your friends and make friends I will post some pictures of past and present. I will try to...
Read moreOnly reason this place is even getting a star is the river view. We showed up on the summer vacation we'd waited to go on for almost a year, met family from FL and traveled ourselves from WI. This place came recommended by a local couple but we were sorely disappointed. Took 4 requests to get a beverage, because bartender was out of everything. He even said he was out of glasses so couldn't give the hubby a cup of ice for his soft drink. Made three errors on the food order, including shorting us on food and forgetting parts of each order, and not even bringing out the onion rings we ordered. Ended up canceling the order. Staff made us feel like we were a bother; certainly not the "southern hospitality" we'd come to appreciate about being in a southern state. Oh, remember your cash if going there anyway; no credit or debit cards taken. Will definitely NOT return and will NOT recommend to others. Don't see what the...
