SOSU Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Newport

We’ve only ordered to go but every time they are so nice on the phone when receiving our order. The time never goes past 20 minutes. Also when picking up they seem very generous and nice, once my husband went it and once I went in. Their food is bomb. My husband always gets the hibachi steak and loves the yum yum sauce. He says the rice and steak have a better flavor than the one hibachi food truck that used to be here. I have tried the tonkatsu noodles (I don’t know if it’s spelt correct), a chicken bento box, and the shrimp tempura roll. All were amazing. I didn’t really like the broth much on the noodles but I’m se everything was mixed together it’s like it fit perfectly. The bento box is nice to try a little of it all. It had fried rice, side of soup or salad, 4 pieces of sushi( I can’t say what kind because I do not know) , chicken, 2 dumplings and 2 crab ragoon? I think. It was all really good. I gotta admit, when I pulled up for the first time and saw the building's state, I didn't expect the incredible restaurant inside. But, the service was great, the food was better, and I will definitely be coming back. They 100% earned the 4.8 star rating. I got a bento box and my boyfriend got hibachi. Both were very good. I’ve eaten here regularly since they opened and I absolutely adore it. The owners are so incredibly friendly and it’s always delicious. They already took the time to remember my name. I wish I could give them 10 stars. The sushi in particular beats a lot of other restaurant sushi I’ve eaten and today they even took time to make the Newport roll look extra pretty....
