Acio's Family Take Out — Restaurant in Newton

NOTE: our family has spent thousands of dollars at this place and we always leave at least a 25% tip on a take out order……Food is good but the service and attitude are terrible. The owner is extremely rude and passive aggressive. She took our order (via phone not online) and said 25 minutes. Per usual I waited about 30 min to leave my house because it’s always 20 minutes more than they tell you. Get there and the owner tells me they don’t have the ingredients for two of the three orders. I asked why I wasn’t called and was told “you need to chill.” Her attitude was that this was my fault not theirs. Wasn’t looking for a free meal, just a sorry. Never got that. Was offered something totally different and was expected to just take what she decided we would have for dinner. Best part is that the order that was available wasn’t even cooked yet. Again, good food but a terrible owner. I will unfortunately be bringing my business elsewhere and...

We live in town and Acios is so up and down. I never find them to be consistent. Sometimes the pizza is to die for and the crust is perfectly cooked where it’s not extra crispy but more on the doughy side and other times the pizza is more on the burned side. I just never feel like I know what i’m going to get.

I also find the owner to to be a bit rude. She doesn’t have a great personality and it always feels like you’re inconveniencing her.

The prices are also expensive. A BLT sub is over $10 after tax and anything with more substance is between $15-25.

Its decent at best but when it’s good it’s good! Just wish the prices were better and they were...

EDIT: Well I did it, I went back and ordered delivery again tonight. Ordered through GrubHub at 5pm ... it didn't get delivered until 7:25pm AND HALF THE ORDER WAS WRONG. SERIOUSLY? I give up, just order from anywhere else, at least you'll get your food in a reasonable time.

While their food may be good, their delivery times are ridiculous. On top of that, even agreeing to wait extra time to allow for their long delivery windows, I was told that my house, that is 6 minutes from the restaurant is too far away and they are too busy to deliver here.
