IGA Deli — Restaurant in Newton

THIS PLACE IS SPECIAL ! Its the Buffalo Shoals Oasis & i like the aroma of hickory smoke thats ALWAYS in the parking lot

i'm up & down 16 between Newton & Charlotte FREQUENTLY. its the windy season around here & ive been flying kites just a few miles south at 16 & 73. its REALLY NICE to be able to cruise by & pick up a rack of smoked ribs or 8-piece smoked chicken to munch on in the field all afternoon.

im also a bigg fann of their SLAW (both varieties) & other pasta paks like their BLT Pasta, Seafood Pasta & their Cream Cheese Pasta is a funn twist

their plain Pasta (with the salad cubes) & one of their boxed lettuce salads was on the shopping list coming back up the road (with my leftover smoked chicken breast pieces from earlier shredded over the salad & that pasta add-in I ATE WELL)

Great Variety shopping ava.with large range of items Very impressed , However i didnt appreciate that the employees seem to stalk you no matter what isle you are on and several times in my 15 min visit . i simply was enjoying looking at the tools and hardware items because of the selections but every time id move isles someone pops up in what was unmistakably obvious sarcastic offers to help me find what i needed like i was either being rushed out or for some reason unwanted there...well i cant say i wont go back but you can bet itll be a have to have situation No more will i try to just go spend money there because they where small and local business that i assumed would appreciate what would have been an...

My favorite grocery/hardware store. Only place I found that has Karo pancake and waffle syrup. Food items you do not see in the larger grocers. The hardware side is set up for the farming community. Stout hand tools or just a nut or bolt they have most everything. My Mrs. Wonderful tells me I have to say something about the deli. Delicious desserts from pudding to pies.
