Went up to see my sons baseball game for senior day. At Lasell university. The 2games went to my son's house and ask if he was hungry and he said yes and he wanted Pizza. So check for pizza in area and foind STONE L 'OVEN. and great choice. Small pizza place with couple of outside tables and several inside seating booths. As soon as we walk in we was greated with a hello and a smile. Wasnt busy with dine in. But definitely busy for take out or delivery. So we was seat and quickly and drinks came with couple of minutes. I was feeling calzone. Wife pizza and my son changed his mind once he saw menu and he found Mac&cheese and he added buffalo chicken to it. Food came out in less than 20mins and My calzone meatballs, pepperoni, bacon was good. A little grease but that is expected to to the meat that I wanted. Read moreHad a steak sub. Little lean on contents (quantity). I can hear it now: inflation, Covid. Now if u gonna have a steak and cheese sub please put steak and cheese in the sub so it comes up more then half way in the roll.. Sub was fine just missing some steak.
Also had a small pizza that was fine.

. The covid and inflation line is others who have cut back claim covid or inflation. Ok that was uncalled for by me.
But There might have been half pound of steak in the roll but it looked at best half filled. Try in newton center Lee's Burgers. I will even buy. That's a steak and cheese and cheaper then yours. The steak is falling out of the sandwich.
Never argue with a customer. Cause when you do, you lose customers. Hint: the customer is always right.... it shows your arrogance to the review where some kid I believe in here got a salami and cheese sandwich with two pieces of salami. Just maybe he was only given the two pieces of salami from the Italian sandwich as his only meat.. just maybe!
Your response to me tells me I am sure...
Read moreI simply love it! This the family friendly pizza place. Whether you take out or eat in. The pizzas are varied, well cooked with crispy bottom no soggy mess, generous toppings, airy crust… just good pizza that will make you feel satisfied
Very nice choice on the menu. My favorite: the one with sweet potato, blue cheese, balsamic vinegar (no marinara). I usually ate marinara-less Zas, but this place changed me with this one.
Otherwise, a margheritta with mushrooms is also fantastic.
Nice beers on tap with local IPAs.
Staff is fantastic, smiling, efficient… leave them a good tip. They work hard.
I come here at least 3/4 times when I am visiting my in laws in Boston, and every weekend during football season.
They also make a good chicken parm sandwich.
Overall, in the Newton area that’s THE BEST Pizza! I tried the others, nothing beats this one in terms of quality, value...
