Thai Delight Restaurant — Restaurant in Newtown

My friend and I went here for the first time this past weekend. We're always a little weary when we see an empty restaurant on a Saturday evening; however, I figured that perhaps this spot is a predominantly take-out place. I ordered the Lemongrass shrimp and he ordered the Eggplant House special. Both of us were disappointed with our food as it was not good, just ok. The woman who waited on us was nice enough, but after receiving the check, I noticed an extra charge. When I inquired about it she told me that since we ordered the brown rice it was extra. She did not tell us this and it is not stated on the menu. It is a pet peeve of mine when all prices and or up charges are not stated on the menu. Also, a can of Sprite is $3. Had I known this, once again I did not see this written on the menu, I would not have paid that much for a can of soda. Very disappointed with the food and service. I always like to give a restaurant another chance, but I doubt I'll be going back to this...

Worst experience of pick up ever! Ordered online-stated food will be ready in 35 mins. Was there after 45 mins, the person at front asked my name, when told did not hear me right and on top of that tells me I told him my name wrong! After that he realizes my order was not checked online. Had not even started on my order! Was told it will be ready in 15 mins. After that I am told that the they are out of white rice and will have to wait longer for it to cook. By this time I was like just give me my food!! Zero customer service, no manners, extremely rude! Will not...

Great place for thai food. The flavor is better than you may expect from just looking at the restaurant from the outside in! But be careful... the food can get really spicy. SO if you're used to asking for extra spicy take note.

We ordered a 5 (the spiciest level) for the pad thai dish and it was barely edible for us. However, the other dishes where we ordered the correct level of spice (i.e., a 3 right in the middle) were delicious and it all had a great level of heat to it.
