Amazing food! Home cooked. Lots of flavor. This place gets real busy so come early or be prepared to wait. This is a great deal, on Sunday it comes with a drink and dessert for around $14. This last weekend they had an amazing light and crisp fried pork chop. They were like chicken tenders they were so light and crispy. They also had bbq chicken which was to die for. Cooked perfectly and the seasoning was amazing! My girlfriend loves creamed corn and they may have accidentally put too much salt this weekend as it was too salty to eat but the weekend before it was amazing. The weekend before they had pulled pork and pulled brisket which was amazing. The rolls are soft and the cabbage is delicious. I have only been here on Sunday for the buffet, so read on with that in mind. There are several places around the Athens/Jefferson area that provide a soul food or down home buffet, and I've tried most of them. But, Cabin Creek stands above the rest. I can honestly say that when I eat there, I am transported back to an earlier time when I enjoyed delicious home cooked meals at my grandmother's table. My wife and I stopped in there Saturday November 18th, 2023 for lunch. We had seen amazing reviews. We both had BBQ pork which comes with 3 sides. The pork was so juicy and tender and so delicious!! Katie was our waitress and was very attentive and helpful. It is a bit of a drive for us, but well worth the stop. I have also heard rave reviews on their chicken and brisket from close friends.
