Hunan Star — Restaurant in Niles Township

Updated: the food is very good at this restaurant. My only concern and it is a very alarming concern and I hope that the owner of this restaurant will read this is that the chicken slices that they put in their chicken with broccoli and perhaps in the other chicken dishes is such a large chunk of chicken that one time the chicken was undercooked. I didn't realize it until after I ate it and I received salmonella or some type of food poisoning because eating raw chicken can be very deadly. and the piece of chicken that I bit into was larger chunk of chicken than the other pieces of chicken that were in the dish. The size of the chicken pieces is impressive but on the second occasion I ordered the chicken with broccoli and the chicken was almost kind of pink on the inside again. So I would imagine that they are a lot of people who are eating this chicken with broccoli and perhaps other chicken dishes that are possibly getting sick because the chicken is undercooked. I would suggest they cut thin slices of chicken and not risk people getting sick because of the large pieces that are being undercooked and these entrees

With all due respect, everyone who rated this place must have been payed off...my experience there was nothing to what I read about. To start, my coworker had a basic request to have the sweet n sour sauce from his lunch menu order put on the side, apparently this is a difficult task because the lady there expressed to him that this is impossible to do for his order and if he wanted the sauce on the side then he'll have to do a large order and pay extra. Then my request to add meat to the lunch special fried rice, which by the way only comes in egg n onion, was denied even after I expressed I was willing to pay an upcharge. She then stated like my coworker, if i wanted meat added I would have to order an additional fried rice. Now to the food, my coworker ordered chicken n broccoli, which comes with half a head of broccoli n only 3 small soggy strips of chicken...I on the other hand had the Mongolian beef which came with a whopping entire onion mixed with my tuff beef....the sauces were OK, nothing special, but after this experience I would never go back...frankly I'm disappointed, for I was hoping this was the grease spoon joint for me, if anyone could point me in the direction of a better spot nearby I would be much...

Hands down the BEST crab rangoon & egg rolls I’ve ever had. We order here at least once a week. Occasionally I will also order veggie fried rice & lo mein or chow mein, which is also very good. I’ve also heard they have great lunch specials which I have yet to try. Whatever I order, will always include veggie eggrolls & crab rangoon because it’s my favorite. I don’t think you can go wrong here with whatever you order though. They are always super polite and throw in extra fortune cookies if you ask. I ordered for delivery for the first time tonight and the food was still hot & fresh! Pay attention to their hours because they are not the same everyday and closed on Mondays. There is no formal dining area, but they are stools and a bar if you want to eat there, or sit and wait for your food. Easy parking, but getting in and out can be challenging on golf road during rush hours. Pro tip: avoid golf by entering & exiting via TJMaxx parking lot on...
