Played the Silver Course today. Horrible course management by your staff and completely unacceptable behavior from one of your rangers. The sheet we are required to put in the front of our cart states that you are expected to play each hole in 15 minutes or less. That means 2:15 for 9 holes and 4:30 for 18 holes - maximum. Today we played the first 9 in over 2.5 hours. Did not see a single ranger on the front nine. On the 11th tee we saw the problem. A super slow foursome walking to the 11th green. Behind them was a foursome in the fairway, two foursomes on the tee box and a foursome coming off the 11th green. Nobody in front of them. We called the pro shop and asked if a ranger could come address the issue. Walking up the 14th fairway it was clear nothing had changed. We called again. On the 15th tee, we could see two foursomes on the tee box, one foursome on green, one foursome on the 16th tee and the slow foursome on the 16th fairway. Nobody on 17 or 18. The ranger final appeared when we were on 15th tee. Drove up smoking a cigar. I asked if he was the ranger - he looked at me like "who do you think I am". I explained to him the issue showing the backup in front of us. He said "what do you want me to do about it". I was stunned by his response. He eventually said he had talked them to pick up the pace but that he couldn't make them play faster. I said you can ask them to skip a hole (a step that most respectable courses take with a slow moving group backing up several others). Your ranger said - "where do you have to go". I said your card says groups are expected to play each hole in 15 minutes or less. He continued to simply argue with me - no apology for slow play, no suggestion that he would do anything about it, just an approach of who cares. Never seen such a belligerent person representing a golf course to a paying customer. His position was clear - the multiple groups behind the slow group should just suffer while he does nothing to move the slow group along. Not sure he understands the job responsibilities. I don't know how someone like that can remain on your staff or that you would want to represent your club. We couldn't even complete the round we paid for - left after completing hole 16, 4 hours and 40 minutes into the round. Wholly unacceptable....
Read moreIf you’re thinking about playing here, don’t. This place somehow manages to be overpriced, poorly maintained, and completely joyless.
Let’s start with the greens. They are, without exaggeration, some of the worst I’ve ever played on. Mostly brown, patchy, and dry as a desert. Forget reading your putt, the ball doesn’t roll, it bounces, wobbles, or dies halfway there. For a course that charges premium rates, this is beyond unacceptable. If they spent half as much time maintaining the greens as they do enforcing pace of play, maybe this place wouldn’t be such a disaster.
The layout is lazy at best. Every hole blends into the next like they were copied and pasted. No creativity, no variety, no challenge. Fairway, bunker, dead green. Then again. And again. You could close your eyes between holes and not even realize you’ve moved. There’s not a single memorable shot or feature anywhere on the course. It’s the kind of design that makes you wonder if anyone actually cared.
Now let’s talk about the price, because somehow, despite everything I’ve mentioned, this place is stupidly expensive. And just when you think the damage is done, they hit you with hidden cart fees. You book a tee time thinking the cost includes a cart (like almost every course does these days), only to find out you owe another $25 when you show up. It’s a bait-and-switch, plain and simple.
And finally, the staff. I’ve never felt more watched during a round in my life. The course rangers constantly cruise around, pulling up to your group to ask what hole you’re on or how long you’ve been playing, even when you’re perfectly on pace. It’s obnoxious and unnecessary. You don’t feel like a guest, you feel like a kid being monitored during recess. I paid a premium to be here, not to be babysat.
This place has no business charging what it does. Poor conditions, uninspired layout, a total lack of atmosphere, hidden fees, and an overbearing staff all add up to one of the worst golf experiences I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor and play literally...
Read moreI left my purse in a golf cart on a Friday evening and didn’t realize until Saturday afternoon. We called the club house , as we were also on our way there, and was put on hold for 7 mins before we hung up because we were already onsite. Once we got there we asked multiple people if a purse was found and explained we lost it Friday evening - I even reported that my AirPods that were in my purse pinged at this location Saturday evening. We asked the main club house workers, the Cart club workers AND the Bogey’s workers, all brought us to a cardboard box with clothing/club socks…I asked, “is this truly where you keep lost purses/wallets??” And they all said “yeah, this is our lost and found, if someone found it it would be here”. After I got done searching both lost and found cardboard boxes and each and every golf cart, multiple times I gave up and assumed someone stole my purse and the contents in it. I left my name and number with the cart club guys and was hoping for a call Sunday morning. I called back Sunday afternoon and asked again if anyone turned in a Purse that I lost Friday evening - they stated nothing has been turned in. So I cancelled all my CCs, renewed my drivers license and had two sleeepless nights thinking someone was out there knowing what my address was with my car keys and house keys. Not fun!! Thankfully Monday evening I get a call from a worker (can’t remember his name) who found my purse Friday evening and said he locked it up in the club house office where he left a sticky note with my NAME ON IT!! The fact that we called multiple times and showed up looking all over the place for my purse and NO ONE mentioned they had a locked cabinet in the club house office is beyond comprehension. I stressed for 2 1/2 days and renewed everything - and for those who have to update all their recurring payments know it is not fun. Besides the kind man who found my purse Friday and apologized profusely for the idiots working the front club house desk, everyone else we talked to was NO...
