Towne Tavern — Restaurant in North Attleborough

We have visited Towne Tavern and Tap in North Attleboro 3 times in the past month or so, and our experience has been excellent all around. We tried a variety of dishes and they were all great, atmosphere was great, staff and service were excellent with no issues. We decided to have our wedding rehearsal dinner here (October 2023, 25 people), and we could not be happier about how this went!. They have a great, dedicated room and menu for these types of events. The door to the room is right by the entrance (usually open if you want to have dinner some time and take a peek). Dedicated hallway to the kitchen, multiple televisions for slide shows or other media, restrooms close by (do not have to walk through the main restaurant to get to them), perfect setup. There is a lot of variety and options on their events menu (see their website), we selected "The Tuscany" and added a few additional items including a Mimosa Bar! The food was excellent, everyone loved the stuffed shells in particular (all gone right away!), Mimosa bar had orange/cranberry/grapefruit juices, and fresh fruit slices to add. There is a lot to coordinate for a wedding, but this was one thing we never worried about. We initially booked with Erin, and coordinated with Caroline as the date approached. Communication was great (email and phone calls, not pushy at all but still making sure everything was covered), and Caroline made sure everything was handled, we knew the detailed cost, and we had no questions or concerns. The cost was very reasonable, and A LOT LESS than several other places we considered. We were provided a very detailed invoice of all the costs and total days before the event (FYI, the cost actually went down twice by them making some adjustments!). Adam was our server, and did an excellent job. He was very attentive, kind, and actually stood in the doorway to the kitchen a lot of the time awaiting any need from any guest - amazing service. Gratuity was included in our invoice, but I just had to add some additional due to how incredible the service was. I cannot think of anything even slightly negative to say. Let me start this by saying the staff and Towne Tavern & Tap are out of this world. From the manager Caroline & Danica our server, to the hostess that brought us to our table and the young woman who ran our food out to us.

We started off the night with the Pretzel and Chicken Strips. Both of which were amazing. Service was fast and food was piping hot. Not only were the side sauces incredibly delicious but it made the chicken strips that much better.

My parents got the Fish and Chips which they love since the first time they went. The runner who brought the food to us was asked for extra tartar sauce and we thought she would let Danica know, instead she comes back with two sides each for them herself.

I however got the Chicken Bacon and Chives Mac & Cheese and let me tell you this tasted like the Rolls Royce of Mac and Cheese for only $16. This is the kind of dish you will go back for if you’re a MacNCheese fan. The bacon had a great fatty to chewy ratio, the pasta was cooked perfectly, chicken crispy in all the right places, the white cheddar sauce it was tossed in was creamy but not overpowering and the breadcrumbs were a flavorful surprise.

Did I also mention that Danica our server was amazing? She was a high energy, smiling, confident and kind woman that was secretly constantly checking on all her tables when she walked by. We didn’t feel rushed or anything like that. When we asked questions she didn’t quite know the answer she quickly went to check for us. Super fun and can definitely keep up with our family’s quick wit.

Gina & Skylar are kind and they really care. It’s fun to be taken care of by them. They have a good sense of humor and make us feel welcome. There was a man who wouldn’t say a single please nor thank you, who gave one of the gals harsh manners all night for no reason except his own shortcomings. He also stared at my friend with a nasty look, and she too is a really sweet person. None of these females deserved the hateful things he said, nor his nasty looks, nor his complete lack of manners. He said he would be sure to write an angry review. We heard because he was so close to us at the bar. So here’s a review to set the record straight. The food and drinks were all great! The French fries are so crispy the way they should be! Gina and Skylar smile easily and are warmhearted. This is exactly what everyone wants when they go out -to be taken care of by people who have pride in what and how they serve, and also who are such a joy to be around. If you saw which females the man decided to be mean to, you could figure out what his real problem is. If he were wise, he would avoid places named Indian Mound Beach altogether. I’m surprised the name of the area alone did not deter him. Unfortunately, some people are just like that. The rest of us good people need to keep the vibe up. It’s his loss if he can’t appreciate certain kinds of people. I’m sure that man can find someplace else to go with his extremely narrow-minded beliefs and taste, perhaps someplace with no flavor.The people on the other side of us were...
