Belle Foods & Pizza — Restaurant in North Branford

I stopped here Friday as I was working in the area and while I was at one of my stops when I noticed they had picked up lunch. I asked them if this place was any good and they said it was great. I verified that personally and in person. The Italian Combo (my go-to deli choice) is called Deluxe, and I agree. The sandwich was well put together and made with the best ingredients. They have many premade dishes available, not limited to, but including pizza slices. There are some small tables inside, but when I was there, there was a steady flow of customers all getting their orders to go. The place appeared to be clean. The staff was prompt and took my order and got me back on the road relatively quickly. This is probably the best deli in the area. You pay a little more, but it honestly...

Belle Foods has excellent food and really great service. The one thing I would really enjoy is if they put a little elbow grease in the exterior. I don't get a lot of time for lunch, and sometimes I just want to sit down outside. I understand most patrons just go in and go out, and perhaps their landlord might have some limits, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. Just a suggestion: powerwash exterior, add some nicer tables and chairs, and make a nice sitting little area by your front door. You can even camouflage the cars by using that faux green ivy and then add some lights. You'd be surprised how nice this could make it look over there. Stopped for a sandwich yesterday for the first time. They had a lot of options on their board so I just skipped that and asked for a grinder with my selection if meat and lettuce. They made it to order just as I asked. Lots of meat in a decent roll. The inside of the dining area looked like it was still being worked on so it wasn't very impressive but everything was clean and serviceable.
