Cuzzino's Cafe & Pizzeria — Restaurant in North Carolina

Kudos to Cuzzinos.

We own a home not too far from their location and had our first opportunity to try their restaurant. We placed an order for pick up of a pizza on a Saturday evening. (Due to staffing shortages, it is currently only pick up and delivery, albeit given the size of the place, it doesn't look like there would be much dine in anyway.)

Nice to support a local independent businessman. They were reasonably priced, the pizza was hot and ready during the time window given. The interaction with the employees was pleasant and efficient.

Unfortunately the bad news was the pizza itself. Crust was okay well cooked, but the pepperoni was really bland. The killer for our taste was the sauce. It was so, so sweet. Like everything, it may be preferable for some, but we don't put sugar in our spaghetti sauce either. My Grandma Marinelli would roll over in her grave if I butchered the family recipe with sugar.

I would urge everyone to try the place and support Cuzzinos, as we will definitely try other things...

It's easy to drive past this place, but DON'T . You will really be missing out! This place buys from a local farm and you can tell. The owner greets you with enthusiasm as you come in and very sincerely tells you he hopes you enjoy your food as you leave.

The dough is hand tossed (you can watch!)and the toppings are placed with thought, edge to edge! The salads are large, fresh and also with toppings not scattered on. Last but not least, the food is delicious. I recommend the Cuzzinos pie and the Greek salad!!

It's currently take out or delivery. Plan to wait 25 minutes if you don't call in. Located directly across the Kia dealer. Support this place. I won't buy pizza...

After closely reviewing all of the pizza places around here, we decided to check out Cuzzino‘s. We were hoping to eat in, but when we arrive there was no indoor seating at that time. The staff was very friendly and we ordered two pizzas and ate them in our car in the parking lot. One was a personal pizza with chicken and it was good and flavorful. The crust was acceptable. But the plain cheese pizza was practically tasteless. The sauce has hardly any seasoning. I took the leftover pizza home and sprinkled oregano on the cheese pizza and it was better. Not sure if I’ll be going back there but if I do we will not get anything with...
