Hot Dog King — Restaurant in North Carolina

I'm really shocked by these reviews. We don't have high standards for hot dogs and we were considering Sonic or gas station hot dogs. I ordered two hot dogs without buns and they looked awful, pale and floppy boiled pieces of maybe meat? (See picture) We weren't looking for farm to table or gluten free or any "health foods", but my 11 month old does have immune-mediated food allergies for which we carry an EpiPen. When I asked about specific allergens in their food items, we were told that the buns had dairy because the owner buys the cheapest ones he can find? I don't know what that has to do with containing dairy as I can find dairy-free buns at Dollar General, etc. We continued to inquire about other items and they refused to look at the food labels to check for us. Just really disappointed in the food and experience. I'd recommend the gas station as most of them have better hot dogs. You may have better luck at the Hot Dog King if you stick to the items fried straight from the freezer. I cannot recommend...

My dad and daughter just got a big order they got home and one of our family members didn’t have any food at all. My Autistic Daughter handed them our list of food of what we wanted exactly how we wanted it. My dads food was the last on the list . My daughter told me when getting the drinks she even had to ask for a cup because she didn’t have enough she just thought they forget to give her enough. Well it turns out my dad did not get his meal at all. We payed for 5 meals and they where $43.54. Each of us having 2 hot dogs fries and a drink and one of us having 3 hot dogs and fries and a drink. Come on wether you have customers behind them or not do your job and get the order done correct. This use to be a Great place to eat. I'll say this I won't be totally negative their food's not half bad the problem is is their staff half the time they don't even have a cook that knows how to run the grill so if you go in and order anything besides a freaking hot dog you're not going to get what you want my husband and I have went there three times here recently and each time we've been told we're sorry ma'am there's no one here to do the grill so we can't make hamburgers we can't make Phillies we can't make anything except freaking hot dogs or stuff that they already have pre-made and instead of being apologetic about it they're just irritated that you would even ask for anything on the menu other than a hot dog I'm sorry but they're hot dogs are greasy as hell it's...
