I don't think I've ever had such wonderful, attentive service anywhere. It's a little bit of a drive so I'm going to use every excuse possible to go out every time I can. The food was delicious. We celebrated my birthday Party of six, and got to sit in the big table in the center of the room. We were treated like family. All of the meals were cooked to perfection. This restaurant renewed my husband's faith in Colombian food having flavor. I guess his experience with Colombian dining hasn't been the greatest with my family in Florida. But here Liliana and her mother nailed it! My kids had the steak and fries, My husband had the toasted plantains, pork rinds, and shredded beef with yellow rice. I'll be getting that shredded beef next time we come (Ropa vieja it's called). The hen (sopa de gallina) soup is delicious and they are very generous with the ingredients in the soup. I personally prefer more broth but that's something I will express next time I order it. Try the fresh fruit juices with your meal or as dessert. I had the soursop. It's absolutely delicious! I had it made with milk. That's the best way. And for dessert, I highly recommend their tres leches. I thought that having the menu on a QR code that you read on your phone was a very nice touch because you don't have to touch menus and risk of getting sick. Speaking of that, the restaurant is very clean. On our way out we saw something very special. Liliana makes cakes! We saw one fashioned into a Nintendo switch on top of a switch case and it looked so realistic. So I'll be getting our next birthday cake from here of course. What a fantastic find!! I can't wait to return! Thank you Gustavo for taking such good care of us! You really made my birthday...
Read moreWent here for a birthday dinner and we were so disappointed in the food we barely finished our plates. We ordered horchatas which came with only a few pieces of ice and yet tasted extremely watered down, and not sweet at all as if the water and horchata mix ratio wasn’t good, so we switched them out for cokes. My fried pork loin slices were so thin, dry and overcooked and didn’t taste freshly fried. My son had the carne asada and the steak was gray, bland and tough, so he smothered it in their garlic sauce for some flavor. My daughter had the fried boneless fish which was extremely salty and almost had an ammonia taste to it. Definitely not fresh. The chicken and rice dish was overly salty as well and wasn’t touched. And mind you, we love flavor so we aren’t afraid of salt, so when something is “too salty” for us, that we can’t even enjoy eating it, it says a lot (for us). The tostones were good, and the chicharron was ok but over fried that the meat part was completely dried out, like jerky. Each meal came with one mini piece of lettuce, a thinly sliced tomato, and a lemon with the produce sticker still on it. Hopefully others have better luck with their experience here and food might come out better and fresh on busier nights because of faster turnover. But I guess since it wasn’t busy at all (we were the only table there with a few to-go orders) we got subpar food which you would think, if a place isn’t busy, you would get the best most amazing food right? I don’t mind paying high prices for great food and especially to support a local non-chain restaurant, but to be paying high prices for food that had no love, passion, or care put into it (which you can always tell),...
Read moreWe've received a ton of favorable reviews regarding this bakery and thought we'd give it a shot. The owners as well as the rest of the staff were beyond friendly and professional throughout our experience with them. However, I must admit how disappointed my husband I were with the aesthetics our daughter's birthday cake. A clear photo was sent over during the initial consultation and I was told that she could fulfill the order as promised. On the day of pickup, I was saddened to see that it didn't look like the picture. Though I expressed my concerns regarding the appearance of the cake, the owners remained courteous and professional. They even offered an explanation as to why the cake didn't look exactly as pictured. I just wished I had received a call to let me know that she ran into an issue to avoid being blindsided. If need be, I could've gone a different route with the vision of the cake. Needless to say, both sides were understanding and I walked away with a surprisingly delicious cake. The moistness, the flavor, the light texture has far exceeded my expectations. I've dealt with many bakeries in my life and Liliana's has become one of my favorites. I will be returning for many orders...
