Yesterday, I got the Cheeseburger at Mildred's Grill at Grandfather Mountain. The meal came with a drink, fries, and a pickle.

The food itself got cold rather quickly, which was a disappointment. Taste-wise, it was standard. Nothing special, but not bad. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend it for the price. If it was closer to $8/$9, I would recommend it. I just don't find it worth the value of the money.

The restaurant itself had a friendly stuffed bear, Mildred with a chef hat, which was cute and good for photos. The lighting was decent. They're was seating both inside and outside. Outside, picnic tables. Indoors, tables with chairs. Not a lot of space to get through though. I had to maneuver around quite a bit with our stroller. High chairs and booster seats available. Wish that they didn't group so many tables...

I was expecting booty, so my expectations were pretty low. This place has zero competition, and doesn't need to try that hard to turn a profit in a high traffic area that's in the middle of nowhere. That said, I was pleasantly surprised. The consensus at our table was that the food was decent, and the fries were actually pretty good.

It all comes down to location with this place. If it had to compete with a dozen other restaurants I'd probably rate it a 2. Considering the location, however, this place gets a 3.5 star from me because it had decent food, friendly employees, but pretty high prices.

If I return to Grandfather Mountain I'll probably pack a lunch because there are so many beautiful spots to sit and eat a sandwich, but this restaurant is a pretty...

The people working here are really friendly and helpful. I also love that they've started using paper straws. Awesome!! Definitely buy a drink here. The food, however, is just shy of awful. The fries were tolerable but low end fastfood quality. Even my 5 year old refused to eat the hot dog. I tasted it and it tasted heavy with salt. Very unpleasant. The baked beans taste like kidney beans in ketchup. Also terrible. The chicken strips were okay. Lunchroom cafeteria okay. The cookie with the kids meal was probably the best thing we ordered. I would stick to a...

Wow! This is not like any other park restaurant. This place has REALLY GOOD FOOD! when I ordered the ham and cheese sandwich, I was hoping for something that was at least edible. What I got on my tray was one of the best sandwiches I'd had in a long time. The fries were crispy and tasty! It's always a rule of thumb to pack a picnic lunch at parks, but do yourself a favor and when at Grandfather, EAT AT MILDRED'S ❤️

Great place to eat at Grandfather Mountain. They have plenty of room and honestly the food was reasonably priced and served fast. I was sure I was going to have to drop $50 but only spent $35 for me, my wife, and a meal split by my two older kiddos including drinks. Check it out the next time you are at Grandfather Mountain.
