I spend roughly $5k annually here (check my last name and CC receipts) the day that Starbucks opens that will turn into 75% less if you keep your no laptop in dining room policy. Every morning, I wake up and want to get a bagel here, but I am annoyed because I can't sit there for 15 minutes after paying $15 for a bagel/lox and coffee and read the morning news on my laptop. I promise you I'm not alone. It’s a bad policy, but then again, being closed on Sunday is too. It's weird; your phone screen is almost the size of a laptop at this point. Look at your tables every single person is on a phone. If this were your generation, Arthur, that would be like banning reading the newspaper. Also, you leave TVs on for people to loiter?!?? Who cares if people sit for a bit? People want to spend money and frequent places that appear busy. You also don't have a laptop loitering problem. You have an old man who buys a cup of coffee and sits at the same table for four hours problem. See the back right table for details on any given morning. It's arbitrary, and by the time a guest sits down, you already have their money. The people on their laptops are free marketing for you. It's 2023; people work from home and are required to "appear online" at all hours of the day. Just not offering WiFi or outlets will solve your lingering etiquette.

There are two things I know for sure as a New Yorker, born and raised, and that's Pizza and Bagels 🄯! My Brothers Bagel is the real deal! I'm new to the area, and I have been on the hunt for a bagel that has the outside crunch and the soft inside that can only be described as yum when you bite it, and evokes a little happy dance. The atmosphere is chill, welcoming, and watching my bagel with cream cheese being folded in that familiar white baking paper transported me back to my Bklyn corner store (even though the owners are from Jersey, lol). I couldn't wait to get home, so I was driving back at 6am just enjoying every bite! Right before I got home, the memory of my childhood was so palpable, and I remembered I used to put regular Doritos in between (weird kid combos...don't judge me...lol). I wondered if it would be the same so, I saved my last bite, scooped up the small cream cheese glob on my steering wheel šŸ¤«šŸ˜‰, and went to get that doritos chip, and it was oooo so heavenly! Anyways...if you're in the area, or not...make a point to visit! You may not have super nostalgia moments like me, but you will not be disappointed.

My partner’s from NJ, and he approves. ā€œIt felt like home.ā€ Better than the NJ-style bagel/deli place back where we live. They also boil their bagels, which is essential. We were passing through from out of town, and so glad we chose this place for breakfast. Arrived a little before 10AM on a Saturday, and the inside was packed. The line was long, so we knew it’d be good. The line moved fairly quick though. The Taylor ham, egg, cheese, salt, pepper, ketchup on a plain bagel was delicious. We also got a Nova & cream cheese bagel, and a plain bagel with butter. Both were also delicious. There’s plenty of parking out front, and the tables and bathrooms were clean. Awesome food. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area.

The bagels are decent. The management however-not so much. Daddy (Art Sr.) established the business so his sons would get off the couch playing video games and give them a job. Great-a family business, but they are true New Yorkers that have little to no respect for our southern ways and hospitality. The owner told me to leave today because I was working on my computer after I finished my $8 bagel (but still working on my sub-par coffee) and said to me "This is my office, not yours". There were only 2 people when I arrived, and I took a table in the back. I was there for nearly 90 minutes and it did extend into lunch. However, I didn't see anyone waiting for a table nor did anyone approach me to borrow a chair or relocate. I honestly thought he was joking when he said I need to leave. I felt like I was in an episode of "Seinfeld" and he was the "Bagel natzi". Had this been an all you can eat bagel shop-I would not have been surprised at his hostility. But seriously, in todays world of telecommuters and working from a laptop in coffee shops around the world, to be told to leave was incredibly rude and frankly a mistake. He waited until there were only 2 customers left to start his tirade, and began to break down saying "I'm struggling to stay alive here" and "you are taking up a 4 top table"...I asked how many days a week he sees me and my family in there? I said, you know I'm in here all the time...he said that was irrelevant. I told him it would be relevant because he would not see us returning. I'm thinking-how is a regular customer the reason he is struggling?? He said I should have stood up when they got busy... And closed with "obviously you have nothing better to do." I realize we still have limited options to eat in Denver, and this rant won't discourage most people. But on the other hand-I'm a local small business owner too, and I won't be supporting this...

My whole family and I have been coming to get bagels here for years. Hands down one of the best bagel spots anywhere around! Some of the bagels, like the blueberry don’t have quite as strong of blueberry flavor as you may hope for, but all of their bagels, have an excellent consistency, chew, and overall presentation. Their flavored cream cheeses are the on point! Top tier! We have also tried many of their sandwiches and have never been disappointed! They’re sweet tea is also bangin for being in the south! For a real treat, get the cinnamon raisin bagel with the walnut cinnamon spread… I do not like raisins, but this combination is absolutely to die for! My sister-in-law would say divine! Mouthwatering! Skip the toasting, just go with the fresh bagel and cream cheese spread!

In years past their wait times can get quite lengthy, but I think they have done an excellent job over the recent months of staffing appropriately so that they get people in and out even with a crowd. It’s a little strip mall space, not a lot of decor, but it serves a purpose.

I would like to give a shout out to Katie who I have had the pleasure of dealing with the last two weekends in a row. Katie is the most efficient staff member I have ever seen there. She has done an outstanding job and remembered my order from the previous weekend. I cannot tell you how that really enhances the experience when you have a personal touch like that. I am very impressed with Katie and look forward to seeing her next weekend as well! Give that girl a raise!!!!

To those about to dine, I salute you! And if you see Katie, tell her...

I love a good bagel! I don’t mean Einstein or Panera. Like a legit bagel! So yesterday, after having to fast for bloodwork, I decided I’d make the trek to my (previously) favorite bagel place in Charlotte. It’s 30 mins away now that I Love in Gastonia. Before heading there I looked to see if there’s anyway closer to try something new and not have to go to southend. My Brothers Bagel came up. Although it was 40 mins from where I was at the time, it’s also about 25 mins from my house. Whatever, I wanted a bagel! So me and my infant made the drive. I had intended to eat while driving home but after ordering decided to eat in and feed my baby. The guy who took my order was very nice and upbeat. (I don’t catch his name but he has a self proclaimed Afro and is awaiting his impending hair loss šŸ˜‚). We sat down and started eating. A man came up to us and started chatting. His name is Arthur. Turns out he owns the place! Super nice guy! I told him where we usually get bagels and that I’m a bagel snob. Well, after telling me how much more I pay at the other place, he came back and gave me a bunch of different bagels to take home and try!! Talk about good service and kindness! We talked and I learned his story. I of course had to order a massive amount of cream cheese to go with my complimentary bagels so I went back and did that. Talked to Afro dude again and went on our way.

Overall, amazing experience and bagels that definitely rival the other place and are cheaper! Plus way friendlier people. I’ll be back,...
