Oasis Bar and Grill — Restaurant in North Carolina

So, we were just visiting for vacation. Wanted at least one night to eat out somewhere local, and we struck out with other places that were closed, had a 2 hour wait, or were reservation only.

We were calling down the list on Google maps. And we spotted their menu and they had room for us, so we went!

We didn't realize the place was a local bar, and some rude patrons complained about our group being there, but the staff was wonderful and kind all around.

I felt bad for the kitchen because I don't think they were prepared for a group of 7 people ordering meals, but kudos to whoever was back there, man. The food was phenomenal. The breading on the onion rings was hella good, and the fried grouper was 1. A hefty portion, and 2. Damn delicious. The voodoo shrimp were also super good!

This place was a hidden gem. Sorry if we were overwhelming, but this was honestly one of the best places we ate...

I've been here twice. The first time the food was great and we really liked it. The second time I ordered shrimp scampi. The menu description said, "Large butterflied shrimp, sauteed with butter, garlic and white wine." What I got was very small (not butterflied shrimp) with pasta. When I told the waitress that the description didn't match what I got she seemed unconcerned but went to ask the cook. The cook said "this is how we always make it". No one offered at that point to replace it, so I just decided to eat it. However, the shrimp were way overcooked, like hard rubber. So I called the waitress over again and told her I wasn't going to eat it, and at that point, she offered to get me something else. The replacement sandwich was fine, and I would go back. Great little hangout with a fun atmosphere. The beer is always cold, and their wings are delicious! Their burgers and cheese curds are quite tasty as well. I wasn't a fan of the pretzel, which I found dry and tough, but I hear the fish and chips are amazing as well. Their price are quite reasonable for the portion you receive. The staff, starting with Becky, Amanda, Ashley, and Bree are quite friendly and attentive, and Kenny in the kitchen is as hard working as they come. His love of what he does is reflected in the product he puts out. He's also an extremely interesting and inviting man to speak with if you get the chance. I always enjoy and look forward to all my...
