Roadside Diner — Restaurant in North Carolina

Atmosphere: I didn't rate the atmosphere because I didn't even realize they had a few tables until after I ate in my car. This place is the definition of rinky dink, hole in the wall, but it may very well knock your socks off! It's basically a food truck without the wheels. But hey, y'all know how much I love a good food truck!

Service: The lady at the window was friendly and professional. We all know how rare that can be these days. 🙂

Food: I had a cheeseburger all the way with a side of tater tots. Both were hot and fresh. The bun was soft, the slaw was sweet and tangy which mixed very well with the chili and the fresh chopped onions. The patty was made of REAL MEAT! It was large and perfectly cooked. The tater tots were some of the best I've ever tasted. I had about five left when I realized I had not used any ketchup and quite frankly they didn't need it.

Price: 13 bucks for a huge burger with a drink and side is certainly not unreasonable. I've payed nearly twice that amount at fancier places that honestly wasn't as delicious.

I can't believe how many times I've driven past this place with no interest in stopping. I have no doubt that it will become one of my regular stops. I can't wait to try the rest...

I decided to give Roadside Diner a try for supper earlier this evening. I've been hearing how good their food is. Man, did I hit the jackpot! I pulled up to the window to order and a super nice lady greeted me and gave me a menu. I then ordered 2 hamburgers all the way and paid my 11.00 with a smile. Remember that it's cash only at the Roadside Diner. So I pulled over to a parking spot and waited for my food. All food is cooked to order. It didn't take long at all and I got the signal to drive back around and pick up my order. The very friendly lady told me to come back again and wished me a good night, and I wished her a good night also. I pulled over to a nearby parking lot and started eating. Each burger was wonderful and each bite was perfection! The burgers were large, I'm thinking 1/3 lb each. Great toppings on each and the buns were sesame seed. On a scale of 10, these 2 burgers each rated an 11. I got my money's worth and then some. Their hamburger is a strong candidate for best burger in Catawba County. I will definitely be back to the...

I see a lot of bad reviews on this place, but I have no idea why. The burgers are a touch pricey, but that's the cost of goods nowadays and the burgers they sell here are HUGE. I got a double, and I could barely finish it!

The food is excellent, it's hard to find a great diner-style burger. The crinkle fries are sightly overcooked, but in the best way possible. They have a perfect crunch to them and just like the burgers, the portion of fries you get in an order is huge!
