We ordered Pepperoni Wheels, Philly Cheese Steak Fries, and the Bigterranean Pizza to share for date night - a medium was the size of a large at most spots, the crust was delicious and the toppings and sauce were SO good. Our apps were great, they and my Moscato were a nice touch considering we had a little bit of a wait. The wait was okay though, I honestly prefer it to not all come out so fast and close together and we had a good time enjoying the ambiance and conversation. They were pretty busy because it was Friday night, we could tell they were getting tons of deliveries but they never neglected us. Great food, great vibe, and great service! Our waitress was very nice and attentive (she continued to offer refills and even boxed up our pizza for us so we didn't have to), our food was fresh and tasty. There's beautiful local art all over the walls, the vibe is great and the decor is cute. I went to the bathroom before we left and I've never seen such an adorable loo 🤣 We're from Pamlico and didn't realize this place existed - it's off the beaten path and I happened to see it on Google maps when I was looking for something nearby - I'm so glad we stopped by, I may have found a new favorite. They seem to have a little bit of everything as far as Italian goes, the pastas and other entrees also looked good! The menu is extensive and there are a lot of other things I'd like to try, we had difficulty choosing. We will be back to try other dishes!

We went to Sara’s with a large reservation for the family. Being such a large group I was impressed with their service. They were patient with the indecisiveness of some of our family, provided great attention to our drink detail, and just provided wonderful wait service across the board. The food was delectable and brought comfort to the palate. Pepperoni pinwheels?! Didn’t expect to see them on the menu, as it is something you normally see in the northeast pizzerias, but they had them and were exceptional. Was surprised myself! I had the Tuscan chicken pasta with some roasted tomatoes added as my main entree. The dish was tasty and left the Italian in me satisfied. Looking upon the rest of the family eating their dishes I could see many happy and content faces chowing down. We were a giant party of family who hadn’t seen each other in quite some time. They let us finish our food and did not rush us out the door at the end of the night past closing. It was, in all, a great experience had by all and I tip my hat to the staff and all their hard work in waiting such a large group. Thank you!

1st time visit on a Fri nite. They were slammed, hence the 4 star due to slow service. Cozy place on the inside. Cute outdoor seating for cooler days. Live music that day was the fabulous Alisa Mike. Great place for meet up, couples nite out or a date nite. There will be a wait if busy. I noticed a lot of take out traffic. I ordered a side of Garlic knots to start. They were delicious but took a long time. We ordered 2 entrees, the Shrimp Scampi and Eggplant Parm which come with only bread. Both meals were top notch! Better than Carabas. Again a long wait but worth it. Most everyone around us had pizza so it must be good. We had cheesecake and coffee for dessert while we were seranaded by Alisha. She was the cherry on top of a delish meal. The art and wreaths that adorn the walls are for sale. Plan to come again. It was worth the scenic drive from Jacksonville.

I have generally, until recently, held a favorable view of Sarah’s Big Apple. The food has been good and I like their outside dining option. That’s why I was very surprised recently when they declined to make an error right. I ordered delivery and selected an Alfredo pizza, among other items, and what I got was a pasta Alfredo. When I called back just after the delivery driver left, the employee on the phone acknowledged that they made a mistake. I asked if they would make the pizza and I could come pick it up and they declined to fix the issue. I was put on hold a couple times as the employee would ask management about my questions and was ultimately told “I’m really sorry but they are not going to send the delivery driver back out there and they are not going to make the pizza”. So I reconfirmed “Soooo, that’s just that?” And they responded “Yes I’m sorry, I hope that doesn’t change your opinion of us, have a nice evening”.

That was a first, just no recourse. Maybe it’s post COVID service and that’s a new norm but I was just surprised they would be ok turning me away at their mistake than simply making a pizza and keeping my respect. I hate to do it, but I just can’t, on principle, give them my money again. But also, I wouldn’t try to stop anyone else from eating there, because it’s good. Just personally not for my...

The restaurant has great food and typically great service. One of the only places to get pesto on your pizza! However, I just waited 2 hours for delivery and an "I'm sorry". Last time my father and I ate there the waiter asked me to bus my own table while I was trying to help my elderly father get his walker. I regularly order the baked spaghetti, last time i ordered for pickup I did not check my order and when I got home it was wrong. When I called to have it corrected I was treated as though I was trying to get something for free, the girl was very rude and could not admit to the fact that she had made a mistake in the order. I work with Special Needs children and when I order something and pick it up on my way home from work, I just want it to be correct and be able to enjoy my meal without a hassle...just like everyone else. I adore Sarah and the restaurant, but not the recent service. Since they are the ONLY restaurant that delivers out here we are captive audience. I am venting here as I had already written an email to Sarah the owner, who I thought was an awesome person, about the pick up situation but had no reply. No more captive audience in Fairfield Harbour as other places now have delivery and care about...
