My husband and I moved here 4 years ago, and approx. 8 miles away. I had been thru the area several times prior to move. Always wanted to stop in & give it a try, but timing was always off. When we moved I made sure we ate there before anywhere else. OH..,the food was exceptional, service great, and ambiance fantastic if you Don t mind children, and just a low murmur of casual conversation. When music added to the background is noted, I have no complaints. Just a real comfortable casual place that feels like family. MY ONLY NEGATIVE THING TO SAY; would be, they were only open several days a week, and had the oddest hours. I would get myself "geared up" as my hubby would say, drive over only to find they were closed. Have not been there in a while and it's 6:00 on a Saturday night and I guess my date & I will be eating with "Ronald McDonald". (another schedule change ) BUT there seems to be a "light at the end of the tunnel". Looks like they have revised the schedule again AND they will be open 6, yes 6 days a week. I hope this is true...I will be able to enjoy the "slightly over priced food, but that's ok, because portions are more than adequate, service is top shelf, and I can go more often, Provided I keep in mind the changes, individual daily hours, and plan "date night" w/ my hubby Wednesday thru Friday. Can't wait for Monday to get here, taking my 84 yr old mother for a slightly "late" lunch. Already considering the...
Read moreI've been going to Stacy's for as long as I can remember, probably close to 20 years now. It's is one of those places that is so engrained in to my mind from my earliest childhood memories that it is always a pleasure to go there. Not only is it the source of many happy memories, it has some of the best homestyle food I've ever had.
The fries are unbeatable, really amazing. The French dip and Reuben sandwiches are my general go to favorites, though their chicken salad is also delicious. Recently, however, my dad has gotten me into the gyro sandwich which is to die for.
In all, this place is extremely conducisive to families, has an incredibly friendly atmosphere, the service is without compare, and the food is beyond delicious. If you're just passing through town or live somewhere nearby, Stacy's is the place to go!
Edit: i just realized I somehow forgot to mention the fried mushrooms. What started as a share between your family appetizer quickly became, everybody orders their own serving of mushrooms, not because its a small portion, but because they are that good. Everytime I have fried mushrooms any where else, they've been gross, but Stacy's' fried mushrooms are the absolute best, there's no basis for...
Read moreI read the reviews, and I am new to Denver looking for the Top Breakfast places!!! Unfortunately Stacy's Restaurant is not it!!! I called in my order, and asked for grits with cheese. The woman stated that "We don't do that!!!" That should have been my cue not to order, but I did. I ordered 2 Scrambled egg breakfasts with cheese with Home fries. So there is cheese for the eggs but not the grits??? I am from Connecticut, and I know grits with cheese is a Southern tradition. Apparently, not here. I walked in and announced myself, and the Woman that greeted me seemed a bit overwhelmed. Her Customer Service was lackluster. I paid for the food and asked if they accepted tips. She looked puzzled. I tip whether I dine in or not. Even though the Customer Service wasn't up to par, I left a tip with her. I never let the staff at restaurants know that I am an influencer so they will be genuinely who they are. The food was not up to par, and I will not be returning to Stacy's Restaurant. I have been around the Country and the World to Family Breakfast spots, and this one falls short!! I am still on the search for the Best Breakfast spot...
