Waitress wasn't friendly to us. Barbecue was old cold and just plain nasty only difference between it and waitress is she was younger than the Barbecue or maybe it was just the heavy duty makeup. Idk. Anyway the seafood was ok comparatively speaking. Save your money. They have fine dining prices for gas station quality food and that's being kind. As for barbecue go to Smithfield for seafood try Pier 41, both are in Lumberton with better, safer entrance and exits for your vehicles. Village Inn has been in Lumberton a long time, so you would think they would do better for the people. I truly hope Village Inn improves. Read moreHey found myself back at the Village Inn Saturday for lunch and once again they did a great job. The service was great and the food was excellent again like always. The seafood was amazing and the fried chicken was delicious. The restaurants that specialize in chicken can’t do better. Sometimes it’s a difficult decision whether to have chicken or the seafood so we order one plate to split between the two of us and add one piece of chicken. Oh man. What a plate. See picture. Too many customers inside while party was going on.. Cud not even get hushpuppies... Took long time.. Order was wrong.. Willing to eat it anyway.. Was starving by then.. Waitress scolded me for eating a french fry off of plate... I left... Watched other waitress getting her orders... Got their hushpuppies even though i was there first....No more Always been the best seafood around Lumberton esp. When the spot signs go up... Nice atmosphere......
