I typically donāt post google reviews, especially not ones that would negatively reflect a local business, but since my visit to The Vine last night was so unfortunate, I feel itās necessary to put this out there. I brought an out of town guest with me, with a Georgia license, and we were refused service because they claimed we did not have valid IDās. Not only did the bartender have zero understanding of the Pennsylvania āreal IDā system that has recently been implemented, but she had no basis for why she was denying our IDās other than that she was ātrusting her gutā. Now, I am a bartender in two different states, and I understand the seriousness of serving someone underage. This is why I have never attempted to be served or bring another person to be served at a local bar while underage. I offered multiple solutions, such as secondary forms of identification, scanning the IDs, and using a black light for the hologram that she said didnāt look right. She refused all of this and said because she had never seen a Georgia ID she didnāt feel comfortable serving us. Overall, her attitude was dismissive and rude. We were there for an hour waiting for a solution while she ignored us and the ten other guests that were in the bar, offering to buy us our drinks. Youād think that bartenders and small businesses would want to make money given how hard that is these days, but she didnāt even ask us if we still wanted to eat or anything. We were ignored and scoffed at and my aunt who came to pick us up was told that she was obnoxious for defending us. Itās a little ridiculous that they are chasing away business because their staff is uneducated on IDing practices and they donāt have updated forms of validating IDs at their disposal. I will not be back to the vine, let alone bringing out of town guests here, as Iām unsure if we will be served. I also have a huge family, many of which have been customers for years, and they will not come back either due to the disrespectful manner my aunt and myself were treated as at this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I hated to have to change my review, but I have to. This place was our spot with family. But unfortunately the last time I came here I was disrespected in front of the entire restaurant. We had arrived at 815pm kitchen closes at 9. The waitress took our order gave everyone drinks except my husband and I. Our order was placed at 10 till 9 the cook comes out using very vulgar language in front of my children and refused to serve us. How he approached us and talked to me in front of my children and in front of the entire restaurant was more than humiliating. I tried to call the restaurant left my number and everything and never heard back. Mind you a lot of times my husband and I would order food at least 4-5 days a week. It just shattered my heart that the cook had to be that way. So if the kitchen is going to close at 8/830 it needs to be posted somewhere. But thatās my take and my end experience with the vine.
UPDATE: they did reach out to me, so me and my family have returned back to our favorite place to eat and grab our go to salads. I love there Food! That will never change. Thank you for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell I seldom come out to Northeast anymore, and boy was I remorseful when I found out there's really nothing left from when I was a kid. I thought I might go back to the one bar left in town and it was closed, even though it said it was open online. The other place called the*Athletic Club" I assumed was a joke sent to me from a friend of mine to visit. However, the signage describes pool tables and dart boards being available. I didn't see much of that on their website. The people that were in sight were not very welcoming at all. Evidently it is a club that stays open until 3:30 and requires a membership. If you would like to visit Northeast it's best to mark your calendar as most of their events are sporadic and few and far between. There's really not much to visit or see other than the grapes and the wineries and most of them have schedules and times. It's a shame. People used to say there was nothing to do out here and now they're truly is not. Feel free to...
