Black Dog Wine Company — Restaurant in North Fayette Township

This was our first time to Black dog wine company and I couldn't be more impressed. We opted to sit on the front porch where there were a few tables with chairs and tall pine trees to look at. I loved the vibe and that even out front we could hear the live music that was being played out back. The staff were so helpful, friendly, and patient with us being that we (my boyfriend and I) know nothing about wine and let us sample to see what we liked. We ended up purchasing a pitcher of "The Mutt"(which is a mixed berry sangria fruit wine) mixed with white rum, fresh fruit, and some club soda. We highly recommend as it was very delicious and the perfect mix for us. I also purchased 2 other bottles to take on vacation with us in a week, one of which is the "Happy Puppy" which is another one of their fruit wines but this one is made from raspberry and the other bottle is "pink kitty" which is a sweet wine. The staff member helping us said that it's similar to white zinfandel if that helps anyone. We sampled both of these also so we know we will enjoy both. We had our wedding at Black Dog Wine Company, renting out the entire venue for a Friday evening and it was absolutely wonderful! We were able to hold everything on site: ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and it had the perfect space to hold an intimate wedding of 60 guests. The owner and staff were so accommodating and responsive to our planning throughout the process. And come day of, they really helped things run so smoothly; setting up the ceremony chairs as well as the reception tables. We were so grateful to find a venue that provided tables, chairs and linens and they have an on-site coordinator as well for day-of that was so so helpful. Another huge perk that our guests talked about was the extensive drink menu-we selected the gold package which was unlimited wine, beer and their cocktail menu which included mocktails as well. I love that they have options for everyone. The atmosphere was so perfect and all the staff super friendly. Wish I could do it all over again with how great it was! Not to mention how fun it was getting to go out to the venue prior to sit outside, listen to live music and have a glass of wine while planning.Thank you Black Dog...

Absolutely love this hidden gem! We went to Black Dog winery for a wedding dress fitting. We enjoyed wine & several of their appetizers while we prepared for the appt. Our server/bartender Jessie was fantastic. She's friendly & outgoing. She made several recommendations which flavors to try. The Owner was there too. He took the time to talk to the guests & help his staff. He told us how the winery got its name. Their outdoor space is dog friendly. They have lots of different events through out the year from things like pet rescue, live music from local artists, & more. You can even plan a wedding in their outdoor space. I like their location as well. Its not surrounded by a bunch of other things. Plenty of parking as well. Their prices are good for the value. When Jessie took my card I thought $17 was for the glass as wines go. Nope that was the whole bottle. Luluberry (sp) is my favorite wine of these.
