Only giving it 1 star, and that’s for the Xmas decor being really cute. It’s a shame we had a bad experience, because we don’t go out to eat much and the kids were excited about the Christmas theme. We were told 45 mins for a table, so we went to the bar area to wait. Bartender was rude, and drinks subpar. I am a bartender myself, so a smile can at least go a long way, if you are dealing with a big crowd. After an hour, our table was ready! Yay, kids were starving, as no appetizers or food allowed in bar area. We got to our table (dirty on top and garbage under our feet). We waited about 10-15 mins, still no server came to our table. We had to go find someone. A nicer server came over asked “oh has no one been over”, well are you ready?”. So she took our order. I had ordered a Chicken Philly. Twice 2 different food runners tried to bring me a Steak Philly (which looked Steak-Ums). I had to keep explaining that I ordered the chicken. Finally all of our dinner came. Fries were tasteless, zucchini was decent. Chicken Philly…Meh. My kids would not eat the pizza. We got the Sicilian. It was clearly undercooked. Cold, cheese not melted, and crust was white (like it had been microwaved). And we were not given plates. We still never had a server, so we had to flag someone down. No one ever checked on us. I made the joke “we could just walk out without paying and no one would notice”. It was so busy, but other tables at least had service. The lady who took our order( who I think was a bartender or not working our section), came for payment. Cut to the ride home. My toddler was moaning the whole way home, and kept crying “mama”. I thought he was tired. As soon we got home though, he proceeded to vomit everywhere. 3 times. Not to be gross, but it was his NorthStar dinner back on the floor…Such a disappointment from this place. Anyone who comments on the “great food” or “love this place”, is clearly friends with someone who works there, or is an employee themselves. I usually don’t write bad reviews, as I work in the service industry, but a terrible restaurant, is a terrible restaurant. Especially if it ends with vomiting. Literally, go anywhere else. Even McDonald’s has never left us sick. Just bring some tinsel there and you would probably have a better experience. This place would be good to peek at the Xmas decor and then going to find a real restaurant to eat at. This place is relying on the pop-up idea to keep it busy, not the actual food or...
Read moreMade an attempt to enjoy ourselves at the Christmas pop up bar today. There was a 30-40 minute wait after checking in with the host. Ok no big deal he said we could check in with our phone number and wait at the inside bar. We went to the inside bar, we had 2 rounds of drinks that cost roughly 45 dollars for both rounds (the drinks on the Christmas pop up menu were $11.68) plus tip). We got a text 47 minutes later that our table was ready. No big deal it was a festive environment we were enjoying ourselves. We were sat at table, party of 3. Our server Alane J arrived promptly and took our drink order. She asked if we were eating. I said yes we would like menus. She stated they were only doing a buffet for the Christmas pop up (there was no mention of this in any of the advertisements for the pop up bar). We told her we weren’t interested in a buffet as one person in our party has celiacs disease and we would just have the drinks. Alane returned promptly with our drinks. A few minutes later the host who was dressed in a grinch costume came to our table and stated this table is reserved for guests who are eating, would you mind moving to the bar. I turned around the bar is completely full with no open seats, I said where would you like us to go my mother has a cane there are no open seats we waited 40 plus minutes to get this table and we weren’t aware it was buffet only. He said it’s always been a buffet you need to move. The next time Alane the waitress came by I asked her for our tab as the host told us we had to move. She then referred us to a man she stated was one of the owners. He listened to our story and walked off. We still didn’t get our tab. Alane walked by again and I said we haven’t gotten our tab yet and she said ok give me a minute. After another 10 minutes or so she came back with our 23 dollar tab. So long story short we waited 45 minutes for a table and spent roughly 75 dollars at this establishment to be rudely told we weren’t welcome...
Read moreThe place went kind of down hill. The drinks went really down hill. Last July I was here with my sister, the drinks were so tasty. The last two times I came here since then, the drinks were just so awfully made. They were just so horrible, I couldn’t even drink the rum & coke, I gave back to the bar tender to just dump out. She refused to make me another one and not charge even though I only took two sips out of it, she said no. She refused to just take it off the tab too after that. Charged me for the terrible two drinks I got, the other one was a fruity one that tasted so good when I went with my sister, it was a piña colada. The worst drinks I ever had had from here. Normally the drinks are great, and got even better!! Now they’ve gone to crap. The food is okay good, but use to be better before Covid happened. I was a regular, I always came here with my partner. Me and him loved this place. This place is not the same, and after my last two experiences, I have since not returned. I now have another go to bar I have found after a search since this one just went down hill.
Although this bar is really cool, mini golf course, beach like bar, I love the setting!!!! But the service for drinks is horrible. And food is going down with the taste of drinks. I’d hope it would improve but too scared to try to spend the money and money loss like the last two times I...
