Update: just got a lobster roll which wasn't the greatest. Pretty sure it was made with frozen lobster. Basically the food and ice cream isn't that good. If the priority for the night is to just have some food at the beach, they definitely have that and it's a pretty spot to eat at the water. Bad ice cream. I've had a great lobster roll before. But the ice cream experience was terrible. First off, ice cream portions are probably three times bigger than they should be(this might sound good on the surface level, but I consider myself a huge fan of ice cream and I got my "small" cone, literally threw away a scoop before I took a bite, threw away another scoop while I was eating, and didn't even reach the cone). The size problem was exacerbated by the fact that the ice cream itself melted uncontrollably when outside temp was only 72°(your probably thinking I just don't know how to handle a cone, I have been eating cones my whole life and had no chance of preventing my entire arm from being covered). Finally, the ice cream itself was average, at best. Management, please be transparent about your cone sizes, and buy or fix your freezers so your ice cream does not instantly become cream.

Good 🍨 ice-cream and service. Lots of choices. Lunch is served as well. Sandwiches🥪, wraps and seafood 🦞 rolls. Limited parking 🅿️, lots of seating. I had a small, three scoops, "Green Monster" in a dish with a sugar cone on top 🔝.. Mint 🍨 ice-cream with fudge swirl. Sweet! The interesting thing I saw was a falcon land on a branch of a tree 🌴 and start screeching. I walked over to take a closer look and photo and it turned its head to look at me. I noticed a nest next to the falcon, but, I don't know if it belongs to the bird. Before I left ◀️, a staff member wiped down the table I sat at. Good to see 🙈. Gift cards available. Delivery through GrubHub. You can order online. I've driven by on weekends and the place is usually packed. I still recommend this place. Update:March 2022; Rum raisin is very good! I could taste the rum. Pricey, but, big portions. Someone was out directing cars. Lemon 🍋 sorbet hits the spot on a hot afternoon! Update: August 2025; Campfire 🔥 S'mores, which tasted good 👍, kiddie size was humongous, and not the guy from the Road 🛣️ Warrior movie 🎥!

Absolutely worst decision ever to eat here for anything other than ice cream we found out. I ordered a footlong chili dog. Was excited because i had not had one in years. They dont sell fries here, so got coleslaw. My daughter ordered a haddock sandwich. My grandson wings. We walked to find a table and was hit with stench of rotting corpes. Trash cans by tables stunk! We were attacked nonstop by biting flies on our feet and legs. My $7.99 + tax hotdog was NOT a natural casing hotdog. They put on a tiny roll. Came with a tiny bag of chips. Coleslaw was the only thing good. My daughter's sandwich was drowned in tartar sauce, on old stale role. She ended up throwing over half away. Same with my nasty hotdog. Wings were not fresh, probably frozen. My grandson only ate 1. Basically almost everything in trash. $51 in the garbage. Should have eaten at Petties or whatever its called. Fml. First clue was everyone else was eating ice-creams.

GREAT FOOD, BAD MANAGEMENT/PARKING SITUATION

I went today to grab lunch, as they have one of the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had. As I've done many times before, I parked, got my food, and walked across the street to eat on the rock wall facing the beach. It’s one of my very favorite places to go and my favorite thing to do. When I walked back across the street 10-15 minutes later, the parking attendant (who was very polite and apologetic) told me that I was “not allowed to go to the beach,” and that his manager was going to have my car towed. I explained it must be a mistake, as their sign says “Beach Plum Customers Only,” and I had just spent nearly $40 there 15 minutes ago. He said he knows (again, very nice kid just doing his job), but that’s what his manager said, and that customers are not allowed to go to the beach. I won’t be coming here anymore, as the whole reason I do is so that I can sit and eat my lunch with the beautiful ocean view. If management can’t allow me to park for 15 minutes for the $40 I spend on lunch, then I will not be spending that money here any longer.

Edit: I just wanted to add that many reviews here mention taking their food across the street to enjoy the view from the retaining wall while eating. The owner of the Beach Plum even responded to one and said what a...

So disappointed! I have been to this location many times, in fact I make a 3 hour drive each way just to come here! I was here recently and am not sure I will ever come back. The service was horrible. At the window I ordered 2 quarts of the bisque, the girl who took my order seemed to be in shock that she questions the quantity of which I ordered.... twice, and repeated 2 quarts back to me.I paid and looked at my receipt which had 2 bowls and 1 cup listed (assuming they don't have a quart button). Well, my number was called and all I received was 1 quart of the bisque the boy said only one was ordered and that I had to get back into the long line to repay/order another one. I am not sure where the miscommunication occurred as the girl who took my order said 2 quarts at least twice when inputting it into the system. Got back in line to order another one - went to put it in my car and the lid wasn't on properly and split about half of it into the box they gave me. I also ordered a lobster roll, and the baked mac & cheese. The lobster roll had about 4 pieces of shell in it and the mac & cheese was about a cup of pasta if that for $9!! Not impressed with the service nor the food -...
