Pasqualino's Italian Eatery — Restaurant in North Huntingdon Township

We stopped at Paqualinos to start our vacation. Like most people we saw the 4.3 stars and decided to drop in. The menu looked good, friendly servers, clean. We were the only people in there for 30 min. We took our time to order (about 15) and our salads came out pretty quick. However, we had ordered an appetizer and it came about 30 minutes after our salads. App was good, basically cheese stiluffed pizza dough with a bland tomato sauce for dipping. Despite the sauce, it was good. Our entrees came out 30 minutes after the app. They were lukewarm at best and despite the waitperson's recommendation, disappointing. My hubands lasagna was delicate, nice version of the all too often overkill lasagna you typically see. My pasta was basically ricotta, with julienne of zucchini with the same bland sauce snd parsely flakes i could have forgiven the food, but not the length of time it took to get a mediocre meal. I was a chef for 27yrs, owned a restaurant for 6. I know how hard it is, but i saw plenty of staff waiting around when we walked in. There were a total of 4 tables, one of which walked out because it took so long to get any food. The waitress seemed clueless about how much time it took. I just don't see 4 or even 3 stars in that...

Service was great. The food was so-so. Had it been served hot I may have liked it a little better. I'm used to servers saying "watch out the plate is hot". That wasn't the case here. The food was warm at best. I also thought the food needed some help in the seasoning department. Not that the food was bad. It was okay. It lacked the "wow" factor. The sauce on the lasagne especially needed some help. It was as if it was just poured out of a can. Some people may like that, and that's cool. Me, I need more. Also the lasagnes description in the menu said sliced meatballs and sausage was in it. Well, I found very little of either. Not sure I'd order it again. Not because it was terrible though, just not how I like it. It was also the first time I have been served lasagne without some melted mozzarella on top, no big deal there, but would have gone a long way in me liking it better. I gotta hand it to them though, that was a large portion of lasagne.......... The dinner rolls were excellent, and my wife seemed to like what she got. However, we both agree we had better. There are many menu items there, especially pizza. Will return sometime in the future to try...

Ok, I love this place and I'm really upset to post this. My family and I got there and the tall dark haired woman with the dramatic eye makeup was visibly upset that people walked in to eat. And she was our waitress. After a longer wait time to order our food, while we ordered, she decided to tell us what they were out of and it was almost everything we ordered and didn't want to wait to let us look at we'd like instead. All of our food, apps and entrees came out at the same time and that in itself is a bit of a problem bc the tables are not that big, there was barely room for all of our food and half of it was left in the oven too long and was pretty dark. I told her we weren't going to eat it bc it was so dark and she didnt offer anything except and apology. What took the cake was her rolling her eyes when we ordered drinks. I get being busy and short handed but her attitude was what really put us all off. Everyone else that we've had there has gone above and beyond to be pleasant and accommodating and we go often!
