I will start by saying that I will be back and our waiter John was great. Our waiter was friendly and attentive we were the only party on the Patio and we were never neglected. Our drink order came out promptly and made well.we ordered the crispy Brussel sprouts and they were hot and delicious. For lunch we ordered a medium Cheeseburger a bowl of chili and crab cakes The chili was very good the crab cakes were delicious a little much on the crispy fried topping but over all delicious However the issue was the medium Burger it was rear John promptly took it back to the kitchen they put it back on the grill they added all new fresh toppings but when it came back out it still was at best medium rear John our waiter was super accommodating he realized it wasn't exactly to our liking he offered one of the specialty desserts alleys Bread pudding with ice cream the bread pudding could have used a bit more custard it was a bit doughy the ice cream however was delicious. Our waiter handled us like a pro but it would have been nice to see a manager that is my biggest complaint Overall food was of good quality, drinks made well, service excellent, management MIA paid for a burger that wasn't eaten

DONT ORDER THE CHICKEN NAAN!! I just wanted to write this review to specifically advise against ordering the Chicken Naan. I'm not sure what they we're thinking when they came up with this concoction they call a sandwich. The flavors do not mix well really at all, I was in the mood for a chicken sandwich after finding out that the ribeye melt sandwich wasn't available on the brunch menu (2:00 p.m.) If the manager / owner happens to read this review I would definitely recommend adding that to the brunch menu Since It basically is there in the form of an omelet. The naan bread was warm but the chicken was cold and pretty flavorless, It tasted like unseasoned day old rotisserie chicken. Bacon is a pretty random addition and kind of goes unnoticed, The apple is very random and added nothing to the sandwich besides a strange texture, The sweet potato puree just does not go with everything else. The only two things that kind of matched was the sweet potato puree in the maple syrup glaze. But this whole "sandwich" just doesn't make sense and I highly advise you stay far away from it.

Good food at a busy packed place. Loud and boisterous atmosphere indoors thats a little too loud to hear the people at your own table. They need to add some soft decorations and perhaps some acoustic foam to dampen the noise. The porch is a great place for respite. Elote dip - some whole kernel corn speckled in salty cotija and cream cheese. The balance was off and too heavy on salty cheese and not enough corn flavor. Could be improved with the addition of corn puree and a dash of chiles on top. Fried chicken - the crust was great! The dark meat was cooked well but the breasts were overcooked. The half chicken is cooked as a whole piece so there's less control on cooking time to make white meat and dark meat cooked appropriately. Back 40 Burger - good :) it's a fine burger though tell them to cook it less than your usual as they may come out slightly overcooked. It's a good place to stop by on the way to URI (Ryan Center) but a little pricey for what it was.

The inside of the this restaurant is quite cozy and very welcoming. There's also a fireplace that you can sit near. They had a impressive selection of draft beer which included Singlecut, Deciduous, Lawson's Finest Liquids, Lord Hobo and other popular breweries (local and not). We went here for the lord of the wings challenge and had their buffalo wings. They were pretty good! We also had Sip of Sunshine on draft which was great! For our meal we had the Back Mac and my husband added pulled pork to it. The dish advised there was ritz cracker crumble but I did not think there was much of it at all. At first, we felt the macaroni and cheese was liquidy, but as we continued to eat it we enjoyed it more and more. Their choice of pasta for this dish are bowties which is a little different but the dish was still enjoyable and cheesy! We felt the pulled pork was too saucy but it balanced well with the macaroni and cheese. Overall, portion size is a good size. The staff seemed to all get along together and our waiter was nice. It's nice to see a new restaurant in the area and it's across from the Tilted Barn Brewery as well! Another plus is that they provide a military discount (10%)!We also recently came here for brunch which was a nice variety of breakfast and lunch items. I had the waffle of the day with heath bar, chocolate chips, oreos and chocolate sauce which was good and quite sweet. I did find the price quite high for the waffle or even as a side it was $8 and the waffle is more on the smaller size. My husband had huevos rancheros which was very good besides us not knowing it came in a tortilla bowl but it was a nice presentation! He also enjoyed his side of sausage. My father in law had the mushroom and goat cheese omelet that he enjoyed. The hash browns were like soft full fingerling potatoes which we were surprised. We thought it would have had been more like crispy and sliced potatoes. He also would have had preferred crispier bacon - but that's his personal opinion as some would be happy with that. Overall we enjoyed the new brunch menu and their nice selection of food and beverages. It's nice that they also include a good selection of burgers and salads as well! I also have had the fish and chips and it...

I live about 2 miles from B40. I have eaten there about a dozen times since they opened. However, the frequency of our visits has declined sharply. It is hard to put a finger on what misses about B40 because many things are good. The service is attentive, the restaurant is clean and well decorated. The bar area is friendly and welcoming and the food isn't that bad. However, the menu is a bit eclectic. There is a little bit of "pub grub" (burgers, wings, nachos), the usual dinner suspects (pulled pork, chicken parm and fish & chips) but then there is Chinese (kung pao chicken, dan dan noodles), there are oddball items you dont usually see at a "pubby" place (buffalo cauliflower, deviled eggs, brussel sprouts, beet & Burata salad, black bean and quinoa burger). It's an odd mix of "can't miss" regular items and eclectic offerings. It feels like it's trying to be everything to everyone. My other criticism is the seating for diners only. Great care was taken to make people comfortable in the pub area (couches, hidden corners, nice bar, high tops and couches), but the diners were an afterthought. There are no booths, very little room and you feel on top of the neighboring table. You need to watch your conversation because it's easy to eaves drop. When they are very busy, they set up an extra row of tables in the middle of the serving floor making it even less comfortable. Finally, the chairs they use are uncomfortable. Finally the parking. I didn't lead with this because it seems steps are being taken to improve the abysmal parking situation. They have way too few spots for their seating capacity. But it seems they are adding spots in the back to relieve the parking pressure. This was much needed. To improve B40, I would rebuild the diner seating area to include booths or add privacy with half walls. I would fix the menu to be less eclectic and I would ensure the parking expansion gets completed. Close,...
