The place was cool being that it used to be a literal covered bridge that they took the time to document and get pictures of in order to disassemble, split in two and reassemble exactly as it had been originally. The history added so much to the atmosphere. That said my family brought me there after not having gone for almost 3 decades and he was so excited to go again but our small group of 3 were a bit disappointed in the lack of concern with regards to us. Idk if it's because we were quiet or waited until people (a group of 8 and 4 or 5 other booths that each came in after we had ordered and even were halfway done or drinks at that point) they were paying there checks at the counter and some even left and yet no food came for us. We ordered a medium pizza, a sandwich, and cinnamon & sugar dough balls. When we finally asked about our food, we were told it was busy. Though we were in front of the kitchen and watched our order, then finally it was put in as they forgot about us. No apologies, and we were never checked on after that and felt unimportant. Still left 20% tip, though we only saw the girl for our order and the check. Sad because everyone else seemed to enjoy their time there as they didn't wait more then 45min with no food or even a hint of attention. Maybe it was just a bad day...
Read moreWe sat at 6:02 PM. There were 10 occupied tables at the time we arrived. After waiting 15 minutes I chose to wait until 6:30 to see when our drink order would be taken. During this time we watched the same waitress running like crazy from table to table. I started watching to count how many people I could see working. I counted 2 at first. Less upset now, understanding that every workplace is running short on staff. At exactly 6:28, a new younger waitress came to our table and took our drink order. I really started paying attention to the number of workers and found 7 that I could see. Then I counted from the time we got our drinks until the time we got our food (7:10), a few of the workers seemingly teenagers, would congregate by the front desk laughing with each other 4 times. Our order came and thankfully our 2 pizzas were fine but our order of chicken parm came with no sauce. I feel so sorry for the waitress who worked her butt off. Again, I understand everywhere is short on staff but that doesn't mean that places need to keep these kids who would rather mess around than work for...
Read moreCalled at 6:30 pm on Saturday to place order for breadsticks ONLY, told it would be 1 1/2 hours. Asked if we could eat in and was told dining room closes at 7:30, so "No" Placed take-out order and asked them to call me if it was ready early. Got there 25" early, 7:35, in hopes that order was ready. It was, and just sitting on the counter. No phone call. I asked how long it was sitting there, and was told "not long, why?" I said because I was told it would be ready for pick up at 8:00, which means it would of sat there another 25". Response..."Well , it's a good thing you came in early" Sign outside clearly says open until 8:00. Watched an elderly couple with canes walk in at 7:50 during heavy snowfall, sit down inside for table service, just to be turned away. It took a lot of effort for them just to get up the steps and in the door. How rude, shame on you! This place is poorly managed and was untruthful, TWICE. I don't support businesses run like this and you just lost a customer. I hope that elderly couple won't be...
