While on vacation visiting friends they told us the NL Arbys was one of the best so we took their word for it. Upon arrival things looked clean and tidy. We entered the restrooms to wash up before ordering and the bathrooms were a disaster with paper towels on the floor due to the garbage overflowing, the mirrors were dirty, the toilet stalls seemed to not have been thoroughly cleaned in a few days. The toilets themselves were dirty; the seats had what looked like dried day old urine on them and the base had dried up urine on it as well. The restroom had a stale smell in it (granted bathrooms aren't suppose to smell like walking into a fresh garden but other arbys along the way into Iowa smelled nice) During ordering it seemed as though what looked like to be the manager (blond loud maybe in her mid 30's early 40's) was seen being overly flirty with an employee (touching, super close contact, giggling). The cashier seemed to be distracted by what was happening behind her (manager and employee) that she was having trouble focusing on our order. It took 4 mins to order a kids meal and two combo meals. Read moreWe were wrapping up a two week vacation, headed back to Wisconsin. One kid was begging for Arby's. We stopped. It looked busy but at this point we had no choice I had already committed. We went inside. The place was clean the staff was friendly and the food delicious. I didn't get her name, but whoever the lunch manager was on Friday August 13th. She is an MVP! She was positive, telling the crew working how great they were doing, and going above and beyond to make all the customers happy. She was hands on and jumping in where needed. It took several minutes before anyone even took my order at the drive-through, and once they did, it was another 15+ minutes before I finally received my food. My order was just a single sandwich, yet I sat at the window for an unusually long time. The employee at the window was friendly, but never apologized or explained the delay. With that long of a wait, I feel like I should have at least been offered a free fry, some reward points, or something to make up for the poor service.
