Words are not enough to give you the experience of my last visit. The sweet tea is good and refreshing. The purple hull peas are seasoned just right and the mashed potatoes and gravy are on point. The waitresses are all there because they want to be. You can tell they are not there just for a paycheck. The management has a great attitude and you can tell they have a good thing going with their employees. The atmosphere is right out of a picture of the artist who's always got a picture of kids on bicycles and in dentists offices and Drs offices. The old signs that are similar to wallpaper and the customers are not just there to get a great meal. They are there to visit with their friends and family. It's a little part of their day that allows them to see their people. A thing that you have to do every day. An enjoyment that they look forward to. I'm just going to say this. If you are around this area and you have a chance to go to eat at the farmers market and you don't....

what has happened to this place it is one my favorite place's in NLR. But something has changed today I went in 4/29/14 and got the chix and dressing mashed taters and corn, with cho. pie... this is the third time the dressing was so bad I had to leave it, the problem this time was , it is so salty there was no way to eat it, while setting there the table of ladies from Spring Hill Bap. were saying the same thing.. I swear it pains me to say a word but this is the third time , the first it was like it was warmed up from the day before , the second was so watery it was like liquid cornbread they forgot to cook and then this time salt block.. last week I picked the pork chops at the Maumelle loc.. there was a wang in the taste of the pork.. I know this lady has worked hard to have two places and I will not give up on this great place to eat but I hope they check with the chef or reign him or her in...

This place is a staple in the area. The food is always top notch and service is through the roof. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and I recommend getting there early because they get pretty busy at peak times. Even though they get busy the service is always prompt and super friendly. You can always tell how good a restaurant is by looking at the parking lot and theirs is always full. If you are looking for some excellent home cooking, this is the place. They offer several different lunch specials daily but have things like burgers, catfish and sandwiches everyday. My wife and I love to go on Mondays because they offer liver and onions as one of the daily specials. The fried chicken, meatloaf and fish are some of our other favorites but everything we've had has been delicious. Oh, and don't forget the homemade pies. My wife loves the coconut cream pie and I love the...

Although I've been to the cafe before and enjoyed a delicious takeout breakfast, I didn't go in today. They did have a crowd so that says something about their food. I went to the market for a big sweet watermelon. The owner picked two out for me and said that mine had sweetness leaking from the stem. I got one for me and one for my neighbor. I've only had one bad watermelon from them, but if you bring in the other half, they guarantee you another one. Since I don't bake, I always cube mine and put it in my cake taker. That's the largest thing I have to store all of this sweetness in my refrigerator. I wish I had taken a picture when it was full. When I cut it open, I agree with the owner. #Deliciousness

The food was good. It's hard to mess up fried baloney and catfish. The service was on point. The young lady who served us was fantastic! The atmosphere leaves something to be desired. The sign upon entering said seat yourself. I found a young man to clean a booth. It was 12 noon. I'm assuming it was their busiest time of day. The building is the typical older building with concrete floors. It's not my favorite environment. All in all it was just OK. Nothing to write home about. The highlight of my visit was the same young man who cleared my booth made it a point to open the door for me as he noticed that I was trying to negotiate the restaurant on my mobility scooter.
