My son and I go to Ryers often to buy take out and salad bar. Today we ordered 2 sandwiches in which 1 older man and a younger took our order. When I opened my chicken salad sandwich I couldn’t believe my eyes. 75% bread, 15% lettuce and 10% chicken salad. My son’s sandwich was correct so I did what I never do ever!! I brought it back in and handed it to the younger guy and I said this sandwich is not acceptable for the money I paid and handed it back to him. I told him I was a regular customer and for $32 for 2 sandwiches and drinks I would expect something better from and old style general store. With that said I sat outside while my son ate his and watched them do absolutely nothing about that fact that they basically gave me one of the worst sandwiches I have ever had anywhere. I absolutely do not recommend Ryers for sandwiches to anyone Horrible portion Terrible customer service Lack of attention to a customer complaint That is not what a general store represents and Ryers should be ashamed of themselves!! After reading several of the reviews, most of them good it’s very clear in all the bad reviews that are reflected back to the deli. Maybe it’s time you close your deli and concentrate on your store. Only your store is good. The deli...

Through years of heard work and determination he’s developed the cutting edge sandwich techniques that truly make his sandwiches unique. His decision not to wear gloves makes it so you can savor the sweat that emits from his pores and which leaves the sandwich moist with a salty finish. You can truly sense his hatred for women that drives him to be the best sandwich maker in greater Boston area. Erik has a good heart but is not afraid to put you in your place if you ask a stupid request or challenge his genius. Gandhi once said “strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.” This quote undeniably describes Erik’s compassion and attitude towards his craft. Erik challenges the societal norms that try and chain him to doing jobs such as being as a president or engineer and shows that men too can cook. He is a strapping young man with the heart of gold and his sandwiches will make your taste...

The sandwich was absolutely perfect, fresh ingredients, and whatever else they put on it was absolutely delicious. The store has a warm nostalgia about it, really old school decor which I thought was awesome. Customer service was phenomenal as well. Great selection of food, drinks, beer, wine, etc. Highly recommend the deli...
