Fair prices, great course, great condition!
The condition of the course for this time of the year is phenomenal. The fairways are green and lush, the tee boxes are maintained well and the greens are in great conditions, rolling quick but fair. Considering how hot it gets during the day time, I’m pleasantly surprised with how well maintained they keep the course!
The course is layout is difficult yet fun to play. The front 9 plays smoothly with difficult greens but manageable; however, the back 9 gets considerably tougher, with course management being the theme. There are a number of blind shots; however, if you play the right number and club, you’ll find yourself scoring well. They provide a course yardage book that acts as the scorecard on the last page, but also describes each hole with considerable detail that makes planning your shots for each hole much easier! Additionally, pace of play is phenomenal! I rarely had to wait on the tee box and if I did it was at most for about 5 minutes. Amazing!
The price of the course is very reasonably priced, considering there are a number of other courses in Utah that make you pay the same rate, yet the conditions are nowhere near what Eaglewood offers and not as fun as Eaglewood’s layout. They also give you free tees!
The driving range and putting/chipping area are phenomenal as well. The putting/chipping area is large and maintained very well. The driving range is also large, you can hit off the grass and they provide alignment sticks on the range which is a bonus if you don’t have them yourself.
Overall, this course is definitely worth playing at. If you’re in the area or just want a good, solid round of golf, Eaglewood is the place to do so....
Read moreWeirdest and most uncomfortable round of golf I’ve ever played. Honestly it’s a solid course, was super excited to play it again with it’s drivable par 4’s, nice fairways/greens, etc..
The issue came from the Marshall, Chris. It’s a Saturday so OBVIOUSLY it’s gonna be backed up. We were waiting on every single tee box for the older gentlemen in front of us, which to be expected and absolutely not an issue with us since we want them to enjoy their round as well. At the turn, the Marshall, chris, started to get on our case about pace (even though it was backed up all the way through). Keep in mind also we’re not scrubs out there and are relatively long hitters when playing aggressive. On hole 10, the group behind us comes up as we’re teeing off and blatantly accuses us of stealing their ball and the Marshall, Chris, accused us of stealing it as well, saying that he saw it roll onto the green as we were putting. We didn’t steal anyone’s ball, why would we? He was also fine with them hitting into us while we were still on the green?
Chris then proceeds to follow us through the next 2 holes until we ask him why he’s still pressing us since there’s no one behind us and we’re still waiting for greens to clear. He then ERUPTS on us and starts swearing at us (dropping F bombs) and throwing a fit. I look at him and say “you need to calm down right now” in which he had a moment of clarity and said “you’re right” and drove away and never came back.
Absolutely bizarre and very disappointing. Will not be back and treated as a criminal when I’m just trying to enjoy a round. Beware of their shortcoming being...
Read moreBLUF (bottom line, up front): Eaglewood Golf Course is an incredible value. It's absolutely stunning, wildlife freely walking the course, and the quality of the the course was outstanding. 5 stars - highly recommend.
Service: 5/5 Front desk and cafe staff were kind and seemed happy to be there. They were helpful and willing to answer any questions (even stupid ones which I have a lot of!). Amenities: 5/5 The carts have GPS and tell you ball distance to pin which is super helpful for anyone that's a decent golfer (not me, everything's a 7 iron on the fairway and the ball does what it wants). There is a halfway house on hole 6 with bathrooms and a snack shack (snack shack was closed on Friday at 3pm. Not sure why). The driving range has trackman digital system to tell you carry distance, ball height, speed, etc. It's top notch! You're hitting from turf, not grass - Doesn't bother me but I know some people care. Course Health/Views: 5/5 SO beautiful. Deer walking the fairway, eagles overhead. Mountain views and views of the valley below. I could just stand there all day for the price of play. Teeboxes, fairways and greens were all in great health. No issues at all Cost: 5/5 $64.25 for the front 9 for two people with a cart $18.00 for a large bucket of balls on the range
Issues: The speed of play is WILD. We hit our tee time early and were still being pushed by the group behind us. We let one party play through and there was another group right behind them. We couldn't keep up and that...
