Gators Catering! If you are looking for a caterer, look no further. First let me say that I am one of the most critical people I know. If I am paying you for a service or product I will settle for nothing less than my money’s worth, and I RARELY give 5 out of 5. With that being said, my future mother in law was paying for the food for the wedding and she had an extremely tight budget. Because of this I chose to just go with the cheapest I could find short of McDonalds. For less than $1800, we fed 100+ people with some of the best pub food I have ever had. Joanne the co-owner came with a few helpers that not only handled all of the buffet prep and cleanup, but kept the tables cleared of all trash throughout the night, and cut the cake for us ($1.00 a slice from anyone else). She also packed up all of the leftovers in small to-go containers for everybody that wanted to take some home (and as always, it was even better the next day :-) ). Needless to say, it was my wedding and I wasn’t sticking around for the cleanup, so when I returned the next day, it looked as if I was never there. She even comes with a reputation. The bartender at the hall told me that when he saw her walk in the door, he knew it was going to be a good night. His words! At one point I wanted to move a table and when I asked her to grab a side, she made me walk away and had her help do it. I could win the lottery tomorrow and I wouldn’t look for anyone else. I use to work here all in all as far as the bar goes its "ok". The kitchen on the other hand. Eh they have no comunication skills all ive seen in the two weeks here was cross contamination. There is no kitchen manager to set standards for there employees. The lack of respect when.i ask how to set a plate or make things there way. Just blank no one could stand up for themselves. I have been in culinary arts field for almost 15 years. Ive never came across a kitchen with such disrespectful taste for the products and the customers this place has left. Just be aware me who use to work there would never in a million years serve the food i served to my worse enemy. Nor will i ever recomend this place to any family who doesnt want to get sick. Last but not least im not going to lie i was and now am making almost twice as much in a smaller place. They hired me and never said how much i was making when.i asked kerry she said we can sit and talk about it and never did. I only found out from the one check i got on a fri. So you mean to tell me i needed to take an almost 4 1/2 dollars pay cut while i sit back and watch these younger kids being paid more? I dont think so. I’m so sad to give this 1 star. I was so excited to try this place because of all the reviews and my co worker had recommended Gators pub. My hubby and I got takeout tonight. We spent 60 bucks….I ordered the Cali burger and he got a fish sandwich and the clam cakes and for our toddler we got Mac and cheese and broccoli. He went to pick it up and said the hostess was extremely rude to him because he didn’t know where to pick up the food. (We’ve never been there before). The food was terrible 😞 my burger was so burnt I couldn’t even eat it. It was just char. The fish sandwich was tiny, and they barely gave me any onion rings they were all crumbs. My toddler didn’t even like her Mac and cheese and broccoli and she actually hacked up a piece because the broccoli was still raw and not cooked all the way 🤣 The clam cakes were just straight up batter. They tasted like salty biscuit balls it was awful. I don’t understand how this place has 5 stars. I get it, people have bad days, but damn 3 meals all at once that were this terrible? Yikes.
