Looking to try something new, I came with a large party for a friend’s birthday, a reservation was made ahead of time. Though, they weren’t very busy when we arrived. Staff were prepared and kindly provided a slice of cake to celebrate. This was a very nice gesture. Since I knew the location was a subway in a former life, and having been out of town for several years, I had flashbacks to ordering an Italian sub at the converted counter. I found the atmosphere and dining experience to be confusing. I’m not sure if this is because I’m privileged to know the building’s past life and what is a repurposed or explicit remnant of that life or it’s the mix of deli counter/gift store/menu price point that had me confused. In the evening, the lights were dimmed and candles were lit on the tables. While my roast beef sandwich was tasty, the 2$ add on for french fries wasn't worthwhile for the shreds of potato that arrived with my sandwich. Others in my party seemed to enjoy their entrees. The drinks were good. The appetizers, in my opinion, need work. A small skillet of runny buffalo chicken dip with a few saltine crackers hardly seemed worth 14$. Additional saltines were provided by a staff member walking by as what seemed to be an after thought. We ordered the “pickles and ferments”, and asked our staff member which “ferments”, since the menu didn’t specify. They stated it was a very popular dish but didn’t seem to know more than that. We took our chances. While the cucumbers were delicious, the carrots and other veggies gained mixed reviews at our table. Overall, I prefer to eat at “local” establishments. My entree was good and I enjoyed the sandwich. If I lived locally, I might stop through their drive thru window for the sandwich alone. Rather unsure I’d make the drive as a return customer - even if the menu changes with the seasons and sources locally.

I’ve always wanted to try this place and finally got a chance! It’s a really cute restaurant and loved seeing the beautiful dahlias on the table. The menu is small but there’s a little something for everyone. I got the pomegranate sangria and thought that was really good! They had a decent draft list with some local breweries! I did feel like they could have poured a little more in our drinks but besides that they were good! We ordered two curry deviled eggs which were very tasty and nice with the crispy shallots on top! I ordered the peddler burger which was good quality and well cooked. The side salad was nice and fresh tasting. I also got the twice baked potato which was really good! My husband got the Nashville chicken and thought it was good and the fries were really good and nicely seasoned! The only con was we didn’t really like the ranch but if they had blue cheese to dip the Nashville chicken in, it would have been delicious! Everything was made with really good quality ingredients. Service was a little slow but there was only one person waiting on tables and we were there on a Monday at 3pm so an off peak time which I completely understand. We ordered the butternut squash crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e and chocolate chip cookies to go (comes with 2 per order). The brĂ»lĂ©e was more like a pumpkin pie but could have used whipped cream on top to help balance the sweetness. The crust could have been a little crispier but overall a nice Fall flavor. The chocolate chip cookies were a nice consistently and we ate them warm and as is and they were both good! I would have preferred the salt to be sprinkled more all around the cookie since it gives it a nice flavor altogether. It looks like there are some nice deals on Mondays and Thursdays too. They have nice brunch options too! I would definitely visit again!

We were a party of 12 looking for a place to meet for a leisurely lunch that was centrally located, and they were gracious enough to take us, with short notice. The menu seems eclectic and Mediterranean inspired. That being said, everything we ordered was excellent. The curry deviled eggs were delicious, a great twist to an American favorite. The Jalal dry rubbed wings were fantastic, very flavorful, and spicy. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was the best Nashville Hot sandwich I've had anywhere. Our party ordered 3 of the gruyuere cheeseburgers at different temperatures from medium to rare and and they were all pleased with the temperatures and taste. The turkey sandwich on gluten-free bread looked delicious as well. The fresh cut shoestring French fries are excellent. Pumpkin cheesecake was rich, dense, not overly sweet, and the piece was big enough to share. Our server did an excellent job, easily answering gluten and lactose concerns from one of my guests, regarding whether or not fryolators were used with gluten products. The dining room is pleasant and spacious, with a nice bar centered along the back wall. My only complaint was the dining room chairs they have 2 different types. I was seated on the metal one, which I found uncomfortable (in their defense, we were there for about 2 hours, so the chairs probably won't bother most diners) I'll be back regardless of the chairs, in my opinion every entrée is finished/ complimented with the perfect amount of spice or garnish. I don't think any of us added salt, pepper ketchup, or...
