Big Mike's Smokin Bar B Q — Restaurant in North Union Township

If your not a local, you won't know about, or most likely see this in travels. I was told about this from a associate. MAN am I happy I went here! Outside may seem to throw you off, but it's a shop with a history and they let that show. The food is absolutely amazing. I ate the sampler which was made of of ribs, chicken, brisket and pulled pork! Not to mention the best corn muffins I have ever eaten in my life. This place hits the top 2 as far as best barbecue foods I have ever eaten. Meat so soft, it falls off, barbecue sauce that it sticky and cooked to perfection. Not that all wet saucy taste. Thats not for me. Pulled pork just melting in my mouth. Chicken so tasty. He cooks it over wood. But only uses 1 type of wood. Did I mention the AMAZING muffins!!! This is a must stop for the barbecue junkies out there. It's a 2hr drive for me, and I assure you that it won't stop me from going!! Highly...

Only went because a sign hangs at the highway. Was looking for BBQ to serve at a birthday party. This place was totally unbeknown.

We arrived are discussed the necessary plans to determine if they could assist. The entire time they offered and provided tasting samples--ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. Everything was deliciously moist and seasoned so well! We spoke to the young lady at the counter, the griller, and Frank the newer owner that I had fun calling Big Mike.

The best BBQ I've had. Why make it when Big Mike's will provide the best. Needless to say we ordered racks of ribs, three pounds each of pulled pork and brisket, and sauces--hot and sweet.

The order was ready at 11:00 am for us to pick-up. Outstanding! Especially since the place opens at 11:00. Frank and the griller committed to having it done, and done it was! Everyone at the party enjoyed...

Not sure what happened to this place. I ordered a pulled beef sandwich and a tub of beans. The beef smelled rotten so much that I ended up stopping at a Sheetz to wash my hands and steering wheel. The beans were watery and had so much garlic they were not edible. This is a far cry from the food I had there a year ago which was awesome. The kitchen looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in months and there were meats on racks that weren’t heated or even wrapped. I feel bad leaving a negative review but the meat smelled like a dead deer in the sun. ...
