First time actually visiting this place after driving by it for years. It’s a very lovely farm on a nice piece of land with a very easy layout. Ice cream is at the top of the hill as soon as you enter the parking lot along with the restrooms. The farm animals and Mini golf are at the bottom. The ice cream is very creamy and bursting with flavor, I had the chocolate with brownies and fudge pieces and it was very delicious. Two scoops $6.63, the scoop sizes were more than sufficient compared to most other gelato or ice cream places. We played 18 holes of mini golf following our ice cream. This place doesn’t get a 5 star review because the only restrooms are at the top of the hill! Additionally, forget about finding any waste bins on the mini golf course. They have only a single bin before you start playing which is rather disappointing. We had drinks and ice cream and we finished half way through and had to go all the way back to the beginning of the course to throw the trash away.
Overall nice play to visit but don’t bring anything onto the mini golf course that you don’t want to be carrying around and passing between your friends...
Read moreHighly recommend for hosting a kid's birthday party. Events coordinator Gina and day-of coordinator Dylan were wonderful to work with. Great icecream and fantastic games throughout the space. Every guest from infant to 80 years old had a blast.
3 of my guests got stung by bees (inherent risk at any outdoor space), but the staff was so kind and provided them with little bee sting kits.
Only negative was the bathroom situation. Port-a-potties at the back of the space (which weren't the cleanest) and regular bathrooms way up at the ice cream shop; nothing centrally located. I don't want to take a star away for this, but I do hope they consider putting a restroom closer to the Gathering Barns or centrally located near admissions. Current set-up is a HUGE challenge with little kids, which is the primary demographic here.
If you need to order pizzas for a big party at West End, please consider New England Pizzas & Subs in Whitinsville. They were also great...
Read moreLove the old dairy farm repurposed into a agri-entertainment spot (agriculture meets amusing entertainment spot for family fun...to stay relevent)....a cool little mini golf course, the cow barn & farmland still, a corn maze & pumpkins in the fall...and just a beautiful spot for pictures also (they also have an oversized chair...like Lily Tomlin used in her skits for character Edith Ann...and you take pics sitting in it!)
If you're in this area stop for a moment or a minute, or an hour...but do stop, cuz you'll be glad you did/found this tasty morsel tucked away ..and a great way to cool down after walking through the trails of the Purgatory Chasm State Reservation Park...located 2 mins up the street...literally!! Walk 1st... then there's no guilt about the sweet treat you'll allow yourself...because you've already worked...
